Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had to use creative means to get Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich out at first base.

Sometimes, MLB players have to do whatever it takes to get an out. Take Boston Red Sox pitcher Kutter Crawford for example, who got hit by a comebacker in the ankle and dove head-first to get an out at first base. On Wednesday, we have found a new way to get an out at first.

In the top of the fifth inning between the Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers, Christian Yelich hit a ground ball to first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. The thing is, Guerrero had difficulty getting the baseball out of his glove. So, he had to improvise. And by improvise, we mean to throw his entire glove to pitcher Trevor Richards to get Yelich out at first.

Whatever it takes to get them out. Even a routine one. The baseball got stuck in his glove, so Guerrero lobbed the whole thing at Richards to ensure Yelich didn't reach base.

As for the result of the game, the Blue Jays lost 4-2. The Blue Jays did cut their deficit to 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning after an RBI triple by Kevin Keiermaier, but the Brewers extended their lead to 4-1 in the top of the seventh inning on a two-run double by Owen Miller.

Guerrero went 0-for-4 at the plate, but didn't strikeout or walk.

The Blue Jays took the first game of the three-game set with a 7-2 victory. They will have the chance to win the series on Thursday afternoon, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:07 p.m. ET
