The WGA has gone on strike against exploitation in the industry several times in the past, but this time the scale of the strike and its impact are the largest in the history of American media. Among other things, the writers are demanding fair pay and provisions against the use of AI in writing scripts. 'Emily in Paris," like other delayed series and films, involves writers who belong to the union, and therefore the unscripted Season 4 is also affected by the strike.
