LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Morgan Wade had enough of it! The ‘Wilder Days’ crooner opened up about her rumored relationship with ‘friend’ Kyle Richards, and how she came to know about the TV personality.
“The only reality television I watched was '90 Day Fiance' and I had to stop watching because it put me in such a bad mood because I get so irritated at these people,” she told People before adding, “But I had never watched the 'Real Housewives' at all.”
How did Morgan Wade get to know about Kyle Richards?
Kyle Richard shared an Instagram Story about listening to one of Wade’s songs a couple of years ago, and when the singer's friend told her about it, she decided to thank her and messaged her.
It soon turned into a strong friendship, more so after Richards’ separation from her husband Mauricio Umansky. However, the ‘Take Me Away’ artist settled once and for all that there is nothing romantic about their relationship. “We’re friends. The Internet’s a dumb place," she said.
The pair joked about the dating rumors through the music video for Wade’s new single ‘Fall in Love with Me,’ starring Richards, 54. The latter plays her love interest, “The internet asked and @kylerichards18 and I delivered,” she wrote on Instagram while sharing the clip with a winking emoji.
How did Kyle Richards help Wade after she tested positive for RAD51D gene?
Wade, who tested positive for the RAD51D gene, which increases the risk of breast cancer, is preparing to undergo a double mastectomy and thanked Richards for her help. “She helped me connect with some really good surgeons,” Wade said.
“We were talking about that and then she had the idea of us doing a documentary and following all this stuff, so we’ve been out and about. She’s just really been there for me with all that," she added.
The 28-year-old singer continued, “It’s just been such a great friendship. I know that if Kyle vouches for you, you’re a good person. It's also been helpful to have Richards as someone she can turn to as she learns to grow comfortable with life in the spotlight.”
Praising the 54-year-old star, Wade talked about the advice she got from her. “She’s extremely smart when it comes to business and how to mentally ignore s---,” said Wade.
“The thing about Kyle is people see her on reality television, but I’ve got to meet her outside of that, and I don’t watch the show so it’s not like I’m seeing this perspective of her. I’ve seen her in real life and she’s been such a great person to have in my corner to help me navigate stuff. I didn’t have anybody like that, and all this stuff was so new to me," she added.
At present, the singer is putting all her energy into her album 'Psychopath', “With this record, I put a lot of pressure on myself. Was the first one just lucky? Did I just get lucky that it turned out great?” she said.
