FAIRHOPE, ALABAMA: Annabelle Ham, who was discovered in the waters of Fairhope's Mobile Bay was dragged from the water off the coast. The 22-year-old influencer was pronounced dead on Saturday, July 15, according to a Baldwin County Coroner’s Office.
As per the Baldwin County Coroner’s Office report, first responders transported the lifestyle content creator to the Alabama Department of Forensics, Mobile Lab to conduct an autopsy, according to New York Post.
What happened to Annabelle Ham?
Though the autopsy was performed, an official cause of Ham's death has not been yet revealed. The vlogger, who had thousands of subscribers and followers across her multiple social media platforms, was a college student at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Her sister Alexandria opened up to the media outlet on Tuesday about Ham's health condition. She said Ham had "struggled with epilepsy for a while" and had "experienced an epileptic episode."
"Honestly — she was just all that’s good in this world. She was the life of the party, a spark plug, she loved everyone she met and everyone loved her too,” she continued. "She was always so happy and looked for ways to make every day, situation, or outing better. There really aren’t adequate words for how good she was," Alexandria added.
Ham's family urged fans not to spread speculation
Ham's family announce the news of her death on her Instagram account. "This is Annabelle’s family. We’re writing this with heavy, heavy hearts. Annabelle experienced an epileptic event and has gone on to the gates of heaven," they wrote. The Ham family shared that the vlogger had struggled with epilepsy "for a long time and wanted to raise awareness for it."
"Annabelle was beautiful and inspiring and lived life to the fullest. Everyone she met was inspired by her energy and the light inside her soul that shined so bright. She was, and will forever be, so so loved," they wrote.
Her family also urged her fans to not "post or spread speculation or details that are unfounded" and requested privacy as they grieve the loss of Ham. "There will be a time to share more details and to go deeper into her life. Her accounts will be used to share what she went through and the joys she brought to all of us. Unnecessary comments only serve to hurt us all, this is a time for remembrance and mourning," the family wrote.
