What happened to Donald Trump? 'The View' host Alyssa Farah Griffin slams ex-president as he's indicted for the third time

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ co-hosts have often spoken about Donald Trump on the talk show, as well as their social media. The two who have been consistent with the same on Twitter are Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro. Griffin, who has previously worked for Trump during his time as POTUS, has gone on a Twitter spree following the big news.

Trump has had several charges pressed against him since 2020, however, he also has been leading the 2024 GOP race. There has been a sudden turn in events because as per CNN, Trump has officially been indicted by a federal grand jury. Griffin has taken over Twitter to express her feelings about the same.

What happened to Donald Trump?

Former President Donald Trump has been indicted for the third time as of Tuesday, August 1. He has been indicted over his efforts to overturn his defeat in the 2020 elections, which eventually led to that attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. According to The Guardian, special counsel Jack Smith carried out the indictment, and as of today, Trump has faced four charges, “one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, one count of conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.” Griffin, who has previously worked for Trump, took to Twitter to talk about this indictment.

‘Trump’s been indicted’

Griffin, Former White House Director of Strategic Communications, wrote on Twitter, “Trump’s been indicted for his indefensible actions related to 1/6. This is his 3rd indictment but 1st for actions while POTUS. We all saw the events of 1/6. Many of his now allies strongly condemned the actions they saw w/ their own eyes that day. May the justice system prevail.” Griffin continued to talk about what Trump has learned from these indictments as she tweeted, Trump is learning from his indictments. No, not to not break the law & commit crimes. He’s learned how to manage the PR of his indictment to deceive the public & boost his standing. Remarkable to see the coordinated & quick responses from Trump allies condemning his indictment.” In a third tweet, Griffin also explained why Trump had been ‘too foolish’ as she wrote, “An aside: Trump is going to HATE that his best legal defense is to claim ignorance: essentially that he was too foolish to know he indeed lost the election & lacked such an understanding of our democratic system he thought these bizarre schemes were in fact ok.” ‘The View’ is most likely to address Trump’s indictment on August 2, and Griffin won’t hold back from taking center stage this time around.
