LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The former President of the United States of America, Richard Nixon is now infamously remembered as a corrupt leader who sought victory with questionable and illegal means that he thought would justify the ends. 'White House Plumbers', the new HBO miniseries circles the two operatives of Nixon, E. Howard Hunt and Gordon Liddy both ex-CIA and ex-FBI agents, were appointed to fix the leaks from the White House to the press but ended up destroying the Presidency that they vowed to protect.
Hunt and Liddy were appointed to the committee to re-elect President Nixon and the duo came up with many ingenious plans to tail the opponents (Democrats), including a plan which involved breaking into the offices of the Democrats at the Watergate complex. After the approval of John Mitchell, the Attorney General of the US, the “Plumbers” as they were so referred to, went to work. They assembled a small team of Cubans along with a few other members and decided to begin their operation of bugging the offices of the Democrats. But all didn’t go as per the plan.

Where are we with the 'Plumbers'?
In the third episode of the miniseries named ‘Don’t Drink the Whiskey at Watergate,” the “Plumbers” make attempt after attempt to infiltrate the offices of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). In the first attempt, Hunt and his accomplice are locked in a banquet hall by a security guard while Liddy fails to lead his team. In the second attempt, the “Plumbers” forget to get the tools to break the lock of the DNC office while in the third attempt, the bug machines are in place but they don’t work. The fourth attempt fails as well but on the unfortunate fifth attempt, the Cubans breaking into the offices of the DNC are caught as Hunt and Liddy monitor from a hotel.
It’s clear that the ball has been dropped and it's only a matter of time before the Cubans name Hunt and Liddy as their Head of Operations. Also, one of the members caught has an envelope with Hunt’s address written on it. Things are not going to be great for Hunt and Liddy in the next episode.
