Where is Jennifer Olascoaga? Missing teacher assistant believed to be in danger after loved ones receive menacing texts

DALLAS, TEXAS: Jennifer Olascoaga, a 24-year-old teacher assistant who vanished last week after dropping a friend off, is believed to be in danger after her loved ones reported receiving suspicious and taunting text messages, saying they’re “never gonna see her again.”

Olascoaga, who worked with the Dallas Independent School District, has been missing since September 27, the Seagoville Police Department reported.

Her vehicle was last seen at around 8 pm that day on surveillance cameras in the Creekside Mobile Home Park located at 2510 US HWY 175 in Seagoville, where she dropped off a friend.

The next day, Olascoaga’s family located her abandoned white 2015 Buick La Crosse near an intersection in Mesquite, which is about 14 miles northwest of Seagoville.

Her brother-in-law Marco Barroso said nothing seemed abnormal about the car, except that Olascoaga’s wallet was found inside.

Olascoaga is described as a five-feet-four-inches tall white woman, weighing about 250 pounds.

What messages did Jennifer Olascoaga’s family receive?

Olascoaga’s disappearance case took a scary turn after her family and friends began receiving foreboding text messages.

“We got some random text messages, a friend of hers got them, ‘Hey are you missing someone,’ ‘you’re never gonna find her and you’re never gonna see her again,’” said Barroso, according to NY Post.

The messages were allegedly sent before, during, and after Olascoaga was reported missing. Police are investigating the text messages but have failed to find any clue as the sender's phone number was not traceable, according to US Sun.

Investigators now believe that the messages indicate foul play in Olascoaga's disappearance. "These text messages contained content that would lead one to believe that Jennifer’s disappearance may involve foul play," the Seagoville Police Department said in a statement.

Olascoaga’s family is even more concerned about the teacher assistant as they claim that her unexplained disappearance is abnormal.

“When we found out that she never made it home that Wednesday night, it was a hint, like, hey, something’s going on,” her cousin, Litzy Mendez, told Fox 4 News.

“She always makes it home, she was very punctual at work. [When] she didn’t show up the next day, we said this is not okay, something is going on,” she continued.

The Seagoville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is currently working on the case as a missing person case and has requested the assistance of the Texas Rangers.

The mysterious disappearance of Monica Alcantar

Olascoaga’s suspicious disappearance came just a dew days after a 22-year-old missing Texas woman was found dead in a Chinatown parking garage.

Monica Alcantar was last seen alive on August 26, when she left her apartment on Leawood Boulevard.

Her family reported her missing on August 30, stating that she had not answered calls for four days.

After a weeks-long search, officers ultimately discovered Alcantar's decomposed body in the parking garage of Bellaire's Dun Huang Plaza in Houston's Chinatown.

The body was so badly decomposed that it took the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences two days to confirm her identity.

Police later released surveillance images of a man and his car, a Dodge Challenger. The images are from the same parking garage where Alcantar was found. Officers believe that the person of interest is either white or Hispanic.
