Where is Morgan Bettinger now? Amid Dove-Zyahna Bryant fracas, woman whose life she helped destroy lives with the scars

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA: Promoting its product by signing controversial BLM activist Zyahna Bryant has costed Dove dearly.

The call for boycott on social media platforms is growing as it faces backlash on all fronts.

Zyanha was in the news for ruining a young White woman’s life by falsely accusing her of threatening BLM protesters in 2020.

Morgan Bettinger was a fellow student at the University of Virginia whom the activist claimed made racist comments and compared them with ‘speed bumps.’

Interestingly, she later backed down on her accusations and instead said she may have ‘misheard’ the comments.

What happened to Morgan Bettinger?

Morgan Bettinger was expelled from the school following the incident and other sanctions were imposed on her.

The 22-year-old filed a lawsuit against the school claiming her First Amendment rights were violated and for tampering with the investigation.

The accused had been receiving all kinds of threats and emails, calling her ‘racist and murderer.'

Bryant, who heard the comments secondhand when Bettinger was having a friendly conversation with a truck driver blocking the road, tweeted falsely on social media platforms.

"The woman in this truck approached protesters in #Charlottesville and told us that we would make 'good speedbumps. She then called the police and started crying saying we were attacking her," she wrote.

Bryant’s claim on social media went viral and many called for her expulsion and harsh punishment, reports Daily Mail.

The record shows that currently Morgan Bettinger’s lawsuit is still pending in the US District Court for the Western District of Virginia.

UVA has not commented on the lawsuit or released any statement.

Sean Lawton, who manages Bryant, called Mike Kochis, Charlottesville's Chief of Police, on Friday, September 15, and expressed safety concerns.

“Zyahna feels threatened right now. This is now about her security," he said.

Lawton told Daily Mail, "The biggest concern right now is about her security and her safety. That means this has now fallen into the domain of a legal matter which means we are unable to offer any comment at this time."

Zyahna Bryant defends her allegations against Morgan Bettinger

Bryant, in an interview with Black Enterprise magazine, said she stands by her allegations.

Additionally, she was not responsible for Bettinger's expulsion, reports MEAWW.

The activist is unbothered by the boycott of Dove and is proud of her association with the cosmetic product.

Bryant alleged that she is nothing but a victim of racism, and sexism, and said she would never stop fighting for social justice.
