BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Renee was left with a crooked nasal bridge that slid around under the skin after three failed nose jobs. To straighten up her nose and address the looseness, Dr Paul Nassif replaced the previous bridge with a new rib bone craft.

Dr Terry Dubrow and Dr Nassif have done their magic on desperate and subsequently madly appreciative patients for all seven seasons of 'Botched' thus far. The job they perform is genuinely life-changing, and this is a theme that runs throughout the program. The surgeons talked about what Season 7 was like ahead of its debut and highlighted how COVID-19 altered both plastic surgery as a whole and their experience filming 'Botched'. Both physicians returned for Season 8 of 'Botched' to the adorable duo's excitement.

Who is Renee on 'Botched' Season 8?

Renee, a hairdresser from West Deptford, New Jersey, had a nose that resembled a "windshield wiper," which kept her from dating for three years. She also wore a bone that resembled a "chicklet." She's undergone three rhinoplasties, all of which have made her nose worse. Furthermore, she ended up with a nose that wasn't connected to the rest of her face.

She despised gazing in the mirror and seeing the nose, which didn't even resemble her. She couldn't wait for Dr Nassif to take it away. Furthermore, she admitted that she had not seen any other doctors because she was paralyzed by dread. But if she waited much longer, she was afraid it might burst through the skin.

At the bridge, the skin felt quite thin. Dr Nassif was the only doctor she wanted. Before meeting Dr Nassif, she had no idea what was holding her nose together.

What happened to Renee on 'Botched' Season 8?

Renee mentioned during the consultation that she had always thought her nose was large as a child. She persuaded her mother to get her, her first rhinoplasty when she was about 19 years old. She had a bump when she came out of the first operation. As a result, she requested that the doctor redo it. She loved it for a long time after it healed, but eventually, the cartilage on the left side transferred over to the right side, and the left side deflated.

The apex began to plummet, dropping more and more. She just dealt with it since she had children to raise. When she was ready, she went to see a reconstructive surgeon. She informed the doctor she liked her bridge before going into surgery. All she wanted was to rebuild the collapsed side. The doctor suggested putting a rib there. The swelling began to decrease when she awoke from the procedure. Renee's bridge appeared to be sagging. She was taken aback. It became mobile quite shortly after that.

Many doctors use ribs to make nasal bridges and dorsums. They occasionally put a large chunk of rib in. And, in the case of Renee, Dr Nassif determined that the rib had to be removed since it was improperly positioned and was too large, causing movement on top of her nose.

Following Renee's assessment, Dr Nassif intended to remove the prior rib transplant and then proceed with periosteum pocket formation. He also intended to do a nasal augmentation with diced cartilage and to repair Renee's nose with a pericardium insertion through a weir incision.

Dr Nassif began Renee's operation by opening her nostril while Dr John Frederick retrieved the rib. Dr Nassif then excised the rib from her prior operation and made a space for the diced cartilage glue graft. He then performed an alar base reduction on the right and an articulating rim graft on the left to make Renee's nostrils more symmetric. Finally, he layered a piece of rib tissue perichondrium on top of the diced cartilage glue graft in the hopes of preventing skin shrink wrappage.

Renee looked happy and confident after 'Botched' surgery

Renee mentioned that she was in a lot of discomfort during her day one check-in. Dr Nassif wanted to make sure she was walking about and breathing deeply. Dr Dubrow and Dr Nassif both noticed how straight Renee's nose was already during the inspection. Even though her tip was a bit high and rotated at the time, Dr Nassif assured her that it would lower with time. Renee appeared to be in good spirits following the operation and check-up.
