NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Alexander Kotzen, 23, a tennis player who recently finished with an overall singles record of 18-11 and 16-5 in doubles matches, was spotted with Hugh Hefner's widow Crystal Hefner, 37, in New York City on Sunday, October 15.
Alexander, a Columbia University graduate who currently holds the 870th rank in the world, walked behind Crystal while sporting a black T-shirt, trousers, and sneakers. The two were spotted in Central Park taking a leisurely stroll before getting a drink and seemed to be in great spirits.
The model — who was married to Playboy tycoon Hugh from 2012 until he died in 2017 — struck a stunning appearance as she chatted with the budding athlete strolling in Central Park.
She donned a Mickey Mouse print pullover, black pants, and patent leather boots. Crystal chose to wear minimal makeup and had her hair done in gentle waves.
Alexander Kotzen is a budding tennis player from Columbia University
Alexander Kotzen, who looks strikingly similar to Crystal Hefner's former stepson Cooper Hefner, 32, is the son of Jeffrey Kotzen and Danielle Voogt and has two younger brothers, Andrew and Nicolas.
Interestingly, Alexander's father, Jeffrey, played four years of men's tennis for Haverford.
Before joining Columbia University, Alexander had been a four-year member of the Minutemen's varsity team under coach Lou Scerra. He won the NJSIAA State Singles Tournament title in 2019, dropping nine games in seven matches.
According to his Columbia University biography, Kotzen won the NJ.com Player of the Year for 2019.
During his final three years of high school, he played No 1 singles, helped Newark Academy reach the finals in 2017 and 2019, and won the Tournament of Champions title in 2016.
Alexander's other achievements include earning a spot on the Second Team All-Ivy in singles, achieving a position in the ITA singles rankings of No 49, a spot in the singles bracket of the 2022 NCAA Championships, and placing No 10 in the ITA Northeast Region season final rankings.
Crystal Hefner became Hugh Hefner's third wife in 2012
Crystal Hefner is busy promoting her upcoming biography 'Only Say Good Things', scheduled to be released in January 2024, where she expands on her contentious relationship with Hugh Hefner.
As per Daily Mail, Crystal became Hugh's third wife in 2012 after initially calling off their engagement a week before their previously arranged wedding in 2011.
She attended her first party at the infamous estate when she was barely 21 years old, and in her candid book, she explores how her early adulthood was "stolen" from her.
The book will also discuss how the Playboy founder "picked her out from the crowd" to make her "one of his infamous "girlfriends" despite them having a 60-year age difference.
Even though Crystal did enjoy a life of luxury, including international travel and attendance at opulent Hollywood parties, she is now prepared to reveal how "the lifestyle that once seemed so alluring had a dark side."
She has previously admitted to changing her lifestyle to be more "down-to-earth," giving up her stilettos for sneakers and her makeup routine for a simpler one after the death of Hugh.
