LINCOLN PARK, MICHIGAN: The former sweetheart of an alleged killer has expressed her shock over his crime. Alexi Fabrey, who reportedly dated Troy Bohling in school, said that the 30-year-old did not appear like a murderer when they were together.
Bohling, who was on a tourist visa, has been accused of murdering Eva Liu, 21, and injuring 22-year-old Kelsey Chang by pushing them into a ravine by a castle in Bavaria, Germany. The Lincoln Park, Michigan native apparently offered to show them a “romantic” view of the Neuschwanstein castle before harming them.
Who is Alexi Fabrey?
Fabrey is the suspect’s ex-girlfriend. She told The New York Post, “From what I’m hearing from everybody, it’s like his behavior and total persona changed on a whim. I just can’t think of a time where he was mean or rude or hurtful.”
The woman is now a mother of three. She shared that she met Bohling about three and a half years ago. “He took me out to dinner, and he still seemed like the same Troy that I knew in high school,” she claimed, before mentioning his personal life. Fabrey added, “I don’t know that he did much, other than be with his family.”
‘I’m shocked at what he’s been accused of’
As per reports, Bohling is currently in custody on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and sexual misconduct. A neighbor of the suspected killer reportedly said in the wake of the alleged crime, “Troy would never look you down in the eye when he came and went. I’m shocked at what he’s been accused of. I’m scared he may have done stuff here and no one has figured it out yet.”
However, the accused’s 54-year-old mother Mary reportedly claimed, “My son is not in Germany at all. We have to find out what happened - we won't comment.” Meanwhile, the case has attracted some attention online as a user tweeted, “Rapists and murderers go on vacation too. He destroyed two things he was lacking: beauty and intelligence. Hope he rots.” Another said, “R***ing and killing people during a tour. 😒” A third added, “A SICK Puppy ..Perfect EXAMPLE Of Why The U.S.A STILL NEEDS The (Death Penalty) ...🧐”
Besides, a GoFundMe has been started to help Liu’s family. The message says, “Due to the uncertainties associated with this international case, the cost may become a significant financial burden to the family and could be a critical factor in the proceedings of the criminal and civil lawsuits. We hope to offer love, strength, and financial support to help this family bring justice to their beloved daughter. Funds will be used to cover any legal costs, and expenses of bringing her home, funeral, and memorials.”
