Gerry, who was always a romantic, married his high school love, Toni, in 1974. With their two children, Angie and Jenny, and subsequently two granddaughters, Charlee and Payton, they shared a busy and happy life. Toni died in 2017 following a severe illness that ended their 43-year marriage.
