OAKLAND, NORTH CAROLINA: Barbara Evans is the mother of 'Teen Mom' star Jenelle Evans. The 70-year-old has now been retired after working nearly 12 years at Walmart.
Barbara was married to Robert Evans. They tied the not in 1984 and parted ways in 1996. Jenelle's mother Barbara gained so much fame over custody battle for 'Teen Mom' alum's son Jace.
Referring to her mother as a "Toxic parent," Jenelle took to Instagram slam Barbara saying, "i cannot begin to explain how badly my name is being smeared because of false allegations that all came from my moms mouth to begin with."
She added, "Theres always 2 sides to every story and right now youre only hearing 1 side: hers. I have been instructed how to handle my situation with her by multiple parties. Im not going to let her continue to make me miserable and distract living my life."
Jenelle went on to accuse Barbara of "traumatizing" the lives of her family and making her feel afraid of her. The reality star wrote, "Im not going to continue to let her control my emotions. She has tramatized my entire family so much growing up, shes always made me afraid of her. Im not afraid anymore and i need to realize she cant control me."
"I control my own family and my own sanity. She can use all the third party tatics she desires but she knows the truth, God knows the truth" writes Jenelle.
Jenelle further asked for prayers and support from her fans as she went on to claim how her mother ruined her life. "Im sick of holding her peace to let everyone rattle my own. Please, i need all the prayers and support as possible for my family and my husband. I talk to Detectives everyday about this situation and the media has it wrong," writes 'Teen Mom' alum.
Presenting herself in a good light and asking for the protection of her son's mental health, Jenelle wrote, "I need my son’s mental health protected so please im begging the media PLEASE STOP, your information is false and i will prove it very soon. Love you guys."

Jenelle and her mother Barabara have been feuding over Jace's custody for almost over a decade now. Jenelle's son Jace was born in August 2009.
Being a teen herself, Jenelle back then signed over legal custody of Jace to her mother. Janelle realized that she needed her mother's help in raising the kid while she herself partied with her friends.
Later in March 2023, Jenelle was granted the custody of her son and Barbara agreed on it as part of a peace-making pact with her daughter. However, this did not make things right between mother and daughter. They continued to have a beef against each other.

TMZ reports Jenelle and her husband David Eason are being investigated for alleged "child neglect." The accusation surfaced after Janelle's 14-year-old Jace's latest runaway.
According to the reports, Jace allegedly claimed of being "assaulted" by David. Jace was found with visible marks on neck and arm.
The alleged assault was claimed to have happened at someone else's home. Indeed, there is evidence of physical abuse.

After alleged assault abuse, David took to social media to bring out his side of the story. The US reports Jenelle's husband saying, "It takes a sick person to spread lies on the internet about a child!"
"Then the rest of you are sick for chiming in like you know something because you read their lies. You people really need help!" David adds. He went on to call the claims false saying, "Our kids are in custody and anything you read is not true!"
He concluded asking people on the internet to stop being a part of spreading alleged rumors. David said, "The best thing any of you can do for Jace is to stop talking to him all together!"
