LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘GMA3,’ the afternoon spin-off of the morning show is led by DeMarco Morgan, Eva Pilgrim, and a physician, author, and television correspondent all rolled into one - Jennifer Ashton. The 54-year-old Ashton is the chief medical correspondent for ABC News and is a renowned Ob-Gyn in New York who reports on critical matters of public health for the network.
Ashton is usually quiet about her personal life but shares a few tidbits from time to time. She was once married to the late Robert Ashton who tragically died by suicide. Ashton has two children namely Alex and Chloe, with the latter on the path of breaking out of her mother’s shadow and making a name for herself. Apart from being a student of the prestigious Harvard University, Chloe is a skilled and talented Ice Hockey player and a professional model. But these are only a few feathers on her big hat and the 24-year-old is only getting started in her career.
Who is Chloe Ashton?
Chloe Ashton is the second child of ‘GMA3’ anchor Jennifer Ashton. Born in 1999, Chloe grew up with her parents in New York and later managed to secure admission to Harvard University due to her stupendous academic skills and robust talent in Ice Hockey. Chloe was a three-year letter-winner in ice hockey at Lawrenceville and served as team captain during the 2018-19 season. She was also the two-time Atlantic District Champion and is a prestigious Heely Scholar nominee. At Harvard, Chloe has etched a name for herself by appearing in 29 games in the first year and was categorized as a Division I NCAA athlete.
Apart from a booming career in Ice Hockey which can help her to reach greater heights, Chloe has also causally stepped into the world of modeling. She has signed up with Wilhelmina, a leading modeling and talent agency’s sports and fitness division, and hopes to secure gigs with leading brands like Nike among others. Chloe's choice of career is not entirely the same as her mother as she wishes to carve out a niche for herself in the world of sports and modeling. However, Jennifer supports her daughter in all her choices.
Chloe paid a small tribute to her father
Chloe was extremely close to her father Robert who died tragically by suicide in 2017, two weeks after the divorce between him and Jennifer was finalized. A few months ago, Chloe shared a homage to her father on Instagram and posted a throwback photo of him with a dog in a swimming pool. She wrote on the snap, “It has been 6 years without my dad but feel his love and spirit every day. Grateful for those in my life who honor his memory with me. I miss you so much.”
