Who is Lou Ferrigno's daughter? 'Hulk' icon accuses his child of elder abuse for 'financially exploiting' his wife of 43 years

SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA: 'The Incredible Hulk' star Lou Ferrigno, 71, and his wife Carla got married on May 3, 1980, and have been married for 43 years. The couple welcomed sons Lou Jr and Brent Ferrigno and their daughter Shanna.

Brent has led a quiet private life. His older siblings, Shanna and Lou Jr, have proudly stepped into the spotlight to share their experiences with weight loss and how they are now living their lives.

The star of the 1970s television program has accused his daughter Shanna Ferrigno of "elder abuse", claiming that she exploited her mother's terminal dementia.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the bodybuilder allegedly sought a restraining order against his daughter and Carla's sister on the grounds that the two women are "financially exploiting" his wife.

Shanna Ferrigno struggled with unhealthy food addiction growing up

Shanna was born in Los Angeles, California on June 31, 1984. She is a producer and writer who has contributed to the television shows 'Days of Our Lives', 'Windfall', and the 2010 animated series 'Chadam'.

She also studied acting courses at Purchase College, a State University of New York institution.

Shanna released her book 'The Reset Plan' in April 2017 through her fitness business FerrignoFIT.com. The author described her childhood issues with an unhealthy food addiction that contributed to her weight gain.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail, Shanna recounted when she went to Tony Roma's with her pals and their parents. One of her friend's parents made a comment about her weight when she was 12 years old.

Shanna said at the time, "One said something like, 'How do your parents tolerate you and deal with you at this size?' I don't think I even ate my dinner that night. I was so in shock."

In her late teens, Shanna came to understand that the psychological issues driving her addiction to unhealthy food needed to be explored. She developed a passion for fitness and discovered that she enjoyed working out.

Shanna's official website reads, "From the journey of being an overweight kid to becoming a behavior and lifestyle coach, Shanna accumulated a lot of stories and experiences from clients to help them overcome their struggles with diet and exercise."

"After reflecting on these topics (as well as her own from childhood) Shanna was inspired and motivated to write her extremely popular book The Reset Plan: Lose the Secrets, Lose the Excuses, Lose the Weight," the website further reads.

Shanna is a certified trainer

As a certified trainer, Shanna is committed to assisting others in "resetting" their relationship with food.

Her services include assisting her clients in establishing and maintaining healthy food routines while keeping up their physical fitness.

Shanna is raising a family while also engaging in outstanding endeavors. She is married and the mother of two cute twins. However, the author hasn't revealed the identities of her spouse or children.

Shanna Ferrigno accused of 'elder abuse'

Lou announced last month that his wife of 43 years, Carla, has dementia. And now he is suing Shanna, his 42-year-old daughter.

Shanna apparently drove her mother to the bank with her aunt Pam Vog and attempted to withdraw $500,000 in cash, but they were stopped short when the bank detected the activity, as per Daily Mail.

In a statement announcing his wife's ailments, Lou's representative stated, "She has severe memory impairment and psychosis, and is no longer the same person who Lou knew for decades."

The 'Hulk' star claimed in court papers that his wife "was financially exploited into attempting to withdraw $500,000 even though she is medically determined unable to manage her affairs."

The court documents read, "Lou hurried to the bank and was able to temporarily flag the account, but Court relief is necessary to maintain the status quo and to prevent Shanna and Pam from absconding with $500,000, which would irreparably harm Carla if Lou has to then chase them to try to recover the money."

Lou alleges daughter Shanna is attempting to 'poison' Carla's mind

The father went on to say that his sister-in-law and daughter Shanna are attempting to turn his devoted wife Carla against him.

The court document added, "She has been isolated from her husband Lou, and has been unduly influenced into villainizing Lou and acting hostile towards Lou."

"These emotional and psychological tactics are elder abuse, harmful to Carla, and are probably progressing her already advanced dementia," the document further read.

The 'Hulk' actor initially requested legal confirmation to confirm ownership of the couple's assets, and the situation reportedly got worse after that.

According to the television personality, the two women allegedly became "unhinged" after receiving the papers.
