IRMINGHAM, ALABAMA: Natalee Holloway's brother Matt Holloway refuses to believe suspect Joran van der Sloot's apology for murdering his elder sister 18 years ago.
Calling Sloot "a liar his whole life," Matt spoke outside the courthouse in Alabama where the Dutch national finally admitted to killing the teenager in 2005, reports the New York Post.
Joran van der Sloot claims he is now a born-again Christian
When asked by a reporter if he believed the alleged killer's apology and Sloot's claim that he is now a born-again Christian, Matt said, "I personally didn't" and labeled him a "psychopathic liar."
"He’s been such a liar his whole life — that’s what he is, a psychopathic liar, so I take it lightly," said Matt.
"I mean, I believe his confession — that’s what we’ve been waiting for for so long, for him to admit that," he continued, and added, "all the confessions he made, he did it all for himself."
"And he forgot about one thing — and that was me. So he will be seeing me again when he thinks he’s a free man," Matt warned.
Natalee Holloway's father said alleged killer is 'not sorry for what he did'
The victim's father David Holloway also said he does not believe the alleged killer's apology.
"Despite everything he has done to us, he is not sorry for what he did," David Holloway said in the victim impact statement.
"He expressed no remorse, regret, or even compassion … He is evil personified," David added.
Jordan van der Sloot explained how he allegedly murdered Natalee Holloway
On Wednesday, October 18, Sloot admitted to killing Holloway as he explained that when the 18-year-old rebuffed his sexual advances during a high school graduation trip to Aruba, he smashed her head with a cinderblock.
He then dragged the victim's body out to sea. According to the family's statement in court, Sloot then went home to watch porn following the incident.

Sloot's confession came following a plea deal in a case for extorting and defrauding the victim's family.
The alleged killer pleaded guilty to attempting to mislead Holloway's family promising to give them details of Holloway's remains.
He then ran off to Peru and killed another young woman in 2010. Sloot is currently serving a 28-year jail term in Peru for the murder of Stephany Flores and will be returning to prison there.
