LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Khloe Kardashian's ex-assistant has asked for a trial, claiming she "wrongfully fired" him while he was wounded. According to court filings, Matthew Manhard sued Khloe for terminating him after he reportedly damaged his knee and needed to obtain a protracted leave of absence.

In February, Khloe was sued by a former housekeeper, who claimed they were dismissed after returning from a leave of absence to heal from a leg ailment. According to the complaint acquired by TMZ, the former assistant, Matthew, stated in his lawsuit that he began working for Khloe in 2019 until being dismissed in November 2022. Matthew said he notified Khloe that he was unable to work due to a knee injury sustained in May 2022. When Matthew sought to return to work in November, he claimed he was instead fired. During his work, Matthew said he was frequently so preoccupied with completing chores for Khloe that he was unable to take the legally needed breaks. This lawsuit came only days after it was revealed that Khloe's clothing business, Good American, was also being sued.

Who is Matthew Manhard?

Matthew Manhard worked as Khloe Kardashian's personal household assistant. He had been with Khloe for almost three years. Matthew has kept a low presence on social media, and little information about his personal life is available. His LinkedIn page states that he is an estate manager, although he has previously worked as a personal assistant for Kim Kardashian and as a barista in West Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Khloe Kardashian’s ex-assistant demands over $25K and trial

Matthew Manhard has requested a jury trial, which has yet to be scheduled, in order to sue Khloe for more than $25,000, The US Sun reports. Khloe sought a jury trial in her case management statement because her legal team estimates the trial would last four to six days, but Matthew's team believes it will go five to seven.

Matthew's mediation and settlement sessions have yet to be arranged, and Khloe must organize her own. Despite the fact that the court date looks to be distant in the future, Matthew stated in his case management statement that the sum he has asked "exceeds $25,000."

'Will not tolerate false accusations'

Khloe's legal team issued a statement saying, "It's unfortunate to learn that a former employee would choose to go this route. Matthew was properly classified and compensated for his role," TMZ reported,

According to Khloe's spokesman, "Toward the end of his employment, he was on a leave of absence for an extended period of time and the role eventually needed to be replaced." "We will not tolerate false accusations and will prove that this is a frivolous lawsuit," the Kardashian's legal representative said.
