EAST HAVEN, CONNECTICUT: 'The Golden Bachelor' star Peggy Dercole is a 69-year-old registered dental hygienist who lives in East Haven.
According to her ABC bio, she initially retired from her work but returned back because "she missed it so much." She is a travel lover who is also into spirituality.

On Breast Cancer Awareness month, Peggy wrote, "October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and so each year in October I like to uplift the women dealing with breast cancer by giving them a special little bag of HOPE. This year my project is a pair of breast cancer awareness socks because my feet got cold during chemo."
Uploading the picture of pink colored wrapped gift in a bag, Peggy wrote, "An inspirational key chain and an inspirational bracelet of faith, courage and hope. All wrapped into a pretty pink breast cancer bag."
She ended her post, "I will drop them off at Smilow tomorrow when I arrive for my own screening. If it brings a smile to these women’s faces when they receive their bag then my heart is full. I pray every day the researchers will continue to find cures not only for breast cancer but for all cancers. May God Bless."
