LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brendan Hunt is engaged! Weeks after wrapping up his hit Apple TV Plus series ‘Ted Lasso’, co-creator, writer, and star Brendan Hunt announced the engagement news to his longtime girlfriend, Shannon Nelson. The pair, who are parents to an adorable two-year-old son Sean Theodore Nelson Hunt, shared the good news of their engagement on their individual Instagram accounts, which made the fans wait eagerly for their nuptials.
Hunt, who co-created the Jason Sudeikis-starrer show, took to the photo-sharing site to post a photo of Nelson who is looking deliriously happy while showing off the diamond ring. He captioned the post with, “The majestic @snoopshann, so rarely photographed in her natural habitat, captured here in the act of saying “yes."”
Nelson also posted the same photo on her Instagram account with the caption, “Some folks have assumed we had already done this, but truth be told we had other priorities in becoming a family.” pointing out that this is the right time, she wrote, “Now it feels right. I get to marry this beautiful man. I get to call him my husband and to be his wife and I am the luckiest.” she concluded the short post with a heart emoji.
Who is Shannon Nelson?
Shannon Nelson, who recently got engaged to Hunt, is an American actress known primarily for her starring roles in ‘Drop Dead Gorgeous’ (1999) as Tess Weinhaus, as Alice in ‘Alice and Monster’ (2002). She also appeared as Caroline in the 2016 TV series, ‘Cannabis Moms Club’. She also has an appearance as Ms. Ledbetter in ‘Ted Lasso’ credited to her. In the 2009 TV series, ‘Gold’, she appeared as Martha.
Nelson has also acted in several short films including ‘Ruth’, ‘To the Grave’, ‘How to Survive a Break Up’ and ‘Wedding Bell Booze’. She also acted as the producer for ‘Alice and Monster’, ‘Night of the Zombie King’, and ‘Gold’.
A self-professed animal lover, her Instagram bio reads, “Sean’s Mum, actor, lover of animals, make me laugh and I'll be your friend forever.” A true blue mother to a toddler, her Instagram page is filled with pictures of her spending memorable times with the family.
