Whoopi Goldberg shuts down co-host Joy Behar on 'The View' before cutting to ad break

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Whoopi Goldberg is at it again, and this time it's the same co-star she had a riff with in the past. As we all know by now, Goldberg is responsible for a commercial break and with that benefit, she shushes everyone whose opinions don't matter to her. This week's target was Joy Behar, who was cut off mid-conversation when Goldberg told her "Don't do it" before going for a commercial break.

Last week's episode was politically inclined and as we know, the political topic gets heated at some point. During Thursday, May 11 episode, the ABC anchors had an intense conversation about former President Donald Trump's town hall meeting with CNN's Kaitlan Collins on Wednesday. As a political topic, everyone chimed in, from Sunny Hostin to Sara Haines, discussing extensively. But, like every episode, Whoopi Goldberg had to make headlines for her rude and partial behavior.

IT'S A WRAP: Whoopi Goldberg's time on ‘The View’ seems to be coming to an end with latest misstep

An extensive discussion that ended on a sour note

While discussing about Donald Trump and his town hall meeting with CNN's Kaitlan Collins, 'Morning' show host Sunny Hostin, chimed in extensively, giving her opinion about how Kaitlan interviewed and Donald acted. Sunny opened up the blueprint of differentiating between what all Donald Trump promised to do while in office and what he achieved in reality. Take charge after Sunny was Sara Haines, who wanted to add her two cents about Kaitlan's hosting style and also discussed the fact-checking process of the interview.

Sara Haines took off the majority of the screen time and talked extensively about the segment and shared her perspective on it. And none of it was in favor of Trump in any way. After Sara ranted for over a minute, producers started to softly play the music, signaling the fact that the show needs to go on a commercial break. But, Joy Behar wanted to get in her word about the segment and chimed in but was cut off by Goldberg, who asked her not to do it, before cutting to a commercial break.

And the Goldberg Saga continues

Whoopi Goldberg has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Sometimes she shares intricate details about her underwear and sometimes she cuts people off to make her point. As an audience who watches her, it seems like a desperate cry for attention to stay in the public eye, but who knows it just might be something that she can't help but do.
