LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Angering Cardi B never bodes well for anyone. On Saturday, July 29, Cardi B was seen throwing a microphone at a fan who threw a glass of drink toward the 'WAP' rapper. However, this was not the only time when Cardi threw a mic at someone. Less than 24 hours ago, the DJ at Drai's Beach Club was at the receiving end of the singer’s wrath.
The 30-year-old singer was recorded by a fan hurling the instrument toward an audience member. In the video clip, a visibly irate Cardi could be seen reacting after an audience member splashed a drink on her.
Why did Cardi B throw her mic at a fan?
Wearing a flaming orange dress, Cardi was in the middle of singing her 2018 hit, ‘Bodak Yellow’, when an audience member threw a cup filled with a drink at her. The drink splashed at her face which left the singer flabbergasted. However, the ‘Up’ songstress quickly regained her composure before reverting back by throwing the mic at the person. In the background, the song and her vocals continued to play. The security soon took charge of the situation when the singer was seen fixing her hair while looking visibly frustrated.
Concert-goers had to allegedly wait for two hours in 112 degrees heat before the rapper went on stage. She reportedly even asked her fans to throw water on her (probably in jest) because of the extreme heat.
On Friday too, the ‘I Like It’ rapper was on a microphone-throwing spree. When she was performing at Drai’s Beach Club, the DJ was allegedly cutting off her songs earlier than necessary which left her seething. She was recorded throwing the microphone at him before walking off the stage. She was reportedly performing ‘I Like It’ and ended the performance with a confetti celebration before throwing the mic, as per the Daily Mail.
'She needs to calm down'
The entire incident elicited a plethora of responses from the fans. While some sided with the singer, some criticized her for promoting violence. One fan said, "Do you promote violence? Cuz I dont. She throws a drink so what. Next show don't let her in. But to throw a mic on someone babe you cross the limit," Another added, "She was there yes, but not performing... as you can heard, she doesn't even sing !!! Sing in concert if you don't want a glass of water !" A third said, "Trash music has trash funs and behavior, plus trash performances. playback."
Someone else commented, "She apparently didn’t even need the mic. Heard her vocals just fine even without it and her not even singing. Lol." Someone else praised the singer's aim, "Nah, Cardi need to be somebody quarterback, why it land perfectly."
Another fan, however, said, "Theres always that person that sees other people have a good time and try to ruin the vibe." "She needs to calm down," said another.
