LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ host Joy Behar is one of those TV personalities you cannot trifle with. She is fierce and it pays to not etch your name in her bad books.
For now, it seems like reality star Nicole Polizzi aka ‘Snooki’ has landed herself in trouble with the 80-year-old host of ‘The View’.
Snooki, along with the other cast members of ‘Jersey Shore’, appeared as a guest on the daytime talk show for a fun and candid segment. Joy, however, decided to sit out the interview with Nicole, nowhere to be seen during the segment.
Joy refused to film an interview with the A-list reality TV star and was hiding the whole time.
Why did Joy Behar refuse to interview Snooki?
Joy Behar is believed to have avoided interviewing Nicole due to extensive drama and unresolved problems between the two in the past.
Nicole, along with her ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' co-stars, appeared as a guest on ‘The View’ earlier this month. However, Joy was nowhere to be found during the interview.
Nicole’s make-up artist and friend, Joey Camasta, revealed to Page Six, “Joy chose not to be in the segment and was hiding the whole time.” He further revealed that ‘The View’ host was "off to the side" during the interview.
It was only Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sarah Haines who interacted with the cast and interviewed them. However, Joey’s statement was contradicted by an insider close to the ABC show's production.
The source said, “It was a production decision to have three of the five co-hosts in the segment to make space for their seven cast members so everyone gets a chance to talk.”
Whether Joy did excuse herself deliberately from the interview is yet to be ascertained but if Joey is to be believed, ‘The View’ host still has some unresolved issues with the reality TV star.
Joy Behar cornered Nicole in a bathroom
Nicole along with the cast of ‘Jersey Shore’ also appeared on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ to chat after the midseason premiere of ‘Family Vacation’.
The cast was asked, “Who was the rudest celebrity you interacted with once ‘Jersey Shore’ became a hit?” Even though many didn’t reply, Nicole immediately prompted, “Joy Behar,”
She then detailed her encounter with Joy and revealed, “She cornered me in a bathroom and said, 'You're not Italian,'" Nicole claimed.
Nicole replied, “I said, 'OK, Ma’am.'” Joy Behar is yet to respond to these claims but it’s clear that things are a little uneasy between Joy and Nicole at the moment.
