According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, Kanye purchased the home in an effort to remain close to his four children following his split from Kim, who continues to reside in their former $60 million family home.
According to documents, he had intended to demolish the house and build a new one, but Bianca ultimately transferred the deed to SE Investments Venture HH LLC, a Calabasas-based company.
