Why was Eddie Davis fired? Alicia Navarro's boyfriend introduced her as his 'niece' to Walmart co-workers

HAVRE, MONTANA: Alicia Navarro went missing four years ago before suddenly reporting herself to a Montana police station in late July. Now, there is an update that her supposed "boyfriend" reportedly lost his job for his misbehavior. Eddie Davis apparently served as a nighttime stocker for Walmart but his “angry comments” cost him his employment.

The 18-year-old teen girl and Davis, 36, had been living together for almost a year in Havre, Montana, the Daily Mail reported. Now, the duo is said to be staying at the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, which is infamous for sex crimes, violence, and drugs. Connie Filesteel, who lives on Fort Belknap Reservation, told The New York Post, “We have high incidents of substance abuse, drug abuse, alcohol abuse [and a] lot of inter-generational traumas with abuse in general. We obviously have a lot of real positives but we also deal with a lot of these inter-generational traumas.”

Why was Eddie Davis fired?

An ex-colleague of Davis reportedly shared, “He would call younger guys names and stuff. I’m not sure of the names. He was being very aggressive. Within a year or two, his attitude has changed at work.” The bad behaviour ultimately cost Davis his job. The same former co-worker also revealed that Davis never accepted that Navarro was his girlfriend.

When the unidentified source asked him about the young woman, “Eddie replied saying it was his niece, not his girlfriend, and that she was too young. They were using the cover…about her being his niece,” the tipster added. A neighbor named Garrett Smith also spoke with The New York Post and claimed Navarro called Davis her uncle. The 22-year-old said, “She was asking for directions. She looked scared. She said she was walking with her uncle and got lost and she’s looking for 6th Street. I later found out that she was referring to him as her uncle.” Smith also recalled how the couple had argued before Navarro turned up at the Montana police station. “I was here the other day and I heard them yelling. She did say, ‘I will go back.’ But that’s all I heard. It was the day before she turned herself in,” Smith asserted.

Did the police arrest Eddie Davis?

Davis has not been in police custody. But as per the Daily Mail, when his and Navarro's shared apartment was investigated by police, “a man was detained and questioned about the teen's disappearance, before being cut loose.” It has also been said that there were no allegations or charges against him. Since Navarro is not a minor anymore, she can’t be forced to return home.

‘This is not a movie, this is our life’

Meanwhile, Jessica Nuñez, the mother of Navarro, has hit back at trolls and said in a Facebook video, “I could never have kept going without all of your love, help, and well wishes. I can’t even put into words the amount of gratitude I have for you all. But now that we know Alicia is alive, I have to ask one more favor of you. I know you want answers and I do too. But the public’s search for answers has taken a turn for the dangerous.”

She added, “I have been harassed, my family has been attacked all over the Internet — the public has gone from trying to help Alicia to doing things like trying to show up to her house and putting her safety in jeopardy. So I beg you, please no more TikToks, no more reaching out to Alicia or to me with your speculation or questions or assumptions. This is not a movie, this is our life, this is my daughter.”
