FOXBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS: Taylor Swift who is known for singing in the rain performed for 3.5 hours for her concert on Saturday, May 20 at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Throughout the downpour, the 33-year-old sang her full list of 40-plus-songs set for her Eras Tour.

During her performance, she called the show the "rainiest rain show that ever rain showed, ever, ever, ever." Realizing that the rain was not stopping any sooner, Swift jokingly asked her crew if the instruments would even function. "Is this going to work? No one ever expects that you’re basically going to perform in a shower," she said, reported New York Post.

'Last night we all danced together in the rain'

After the concertgoers cleared the stadium, Swift expressed her gratitude to her fans for singing along in the downpour. "Last night we all danced together in the rain for the entire 3.5-hour show in Foxy Foxborough MA!! We’ve had rain shows at Gillette Stadium before but this was a full-on deluge that never let up, I just want to thank that iconic crowd!! Love you so much you have no idea," the musician tweeted.

Singing all the songs from 10 of her albums, she changed her costumes and theatrics for the hours-long concert and fans cheered her throughout. Swift's 13th show took place on Sunday night, May 21 and her next Eras Tour performance will be on Friday, May 26, in New Jersey.

Amazed at how the singer continued performing after she got drenched by the rainstorm, Swift's fans applauded the songwriter's efforts and commitment to her fans.

"You are thriving Queen!!! these rain shows are magical," a user wrote on Twitter while another person tweeted, "Taylor Swift, a dynamo that's very waterproof. No surpassing her dedication, talent, and energy." One fan tweeted, "Great commitment to your fans all these years."

"People genuinely don’t understand just how much risk you put yourself into just to perform for your fans that rain was heavy and looked dangerous and anyone else would’ve found any excuse to cancel or not even show up but you go above and beyond for that and we’re grateful," a fan thanked the singer.

"I’m too old to be a fan of your music but you have guts. No other performer would do what you’ve done over the last few nights. You’ve earned the respect of an old Rock and Roll fan," a user tweeted while a fan wrote, "Thank you, Taylor, for doing this, so many of us have been waiting to see you for so long & you didn't let them down. Hope you had lots of ginger tea and honey. You are truly amazing!! PS: How is the piano doing, is it fixable? Please come to Europe!"
