Dragonflight Pre-Patch Date Revealed

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is getting a pre-patch that will role out in two stages ahead of the expansion's full release.

Blizzard has announced the dates for two pre-expansion patches ahead of Dragonflight's release. The first is set to roll out on Oct. 25. This first phase will see a few HUD UI changes along with implementing a number of accessibility features, such as “press and hold” spellcasting and gamepad support. Additionally, the rogue, priest, and mage classes will become available to all races to create and play

The game's talent system will also be getting a revamp, with Dragonflight set to include some major changes to WoW's classes. According to Blizzard, the new talent system "empowers players to make creative and meaningful talent choices without compromising their effectiveness."

Phase One will also introduce the Rated Solo Shuffle, where players will be able to earn seasonal rewards and achievements, credit toward Vicious Mounts, weekly great vault progress, and Conquest similar to Rated Battlegrounds and Arenas.

Phase Two of the pre-patch will begin on Nov. 15, introducing the new race/class dracthyr Evoker. This marks World of Warcraft’s first-ever race and class combination, with the Evoker class specializing in ranged damage-dealing or aiding their allies as a healer. Dracthyr Evokers will also be given a new starting zone: The Forbidden Reach.

The Nov. 15 patch will see the addition of new Dungeon: Uldaman, located in The Badlands. New in-game events, Primal Storms, will also be added ahead of the launch. Players must ward off attacks from the Primalists with new quests and world events. Players will also be able to get hold of pre-patch gear through taking down primal-imbued enemies.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight launches on Nov. 18, 2022.
