A round-up of all the Taylor's Version songs teased on Prime Video
Taylor Swift is currently in the middle of releasing the re-recorded versions of her six albums, and there have been various ways she has teased upcoming releases. One example is dropping snippets in Prime Video shows and trailers such as The Summer I Turned Pretty and most recently Wilderness. While 1989 (Taylor's Version) is set to be released on October 27, there has been a release date yet for the remaining re-records - reputation (Taylor's Version) and Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version). Here is a list of the re-recorded songs that have been teased on Prime Video shows: 'This Love' - from 1989 (Taylor's Version) Show - The Summer I Turned Pretty (season one) Ahead of the 1989 (Taylor's Version) release date announcement, Swift had already dropped two tracks from the 2014 album and this included the song 'This Love'. The first chance fans could listen to the re-record was in the first season trailer of The Summer I Turned Pretty and it was also used in the show too. In an Instagram post announcing the news last year on May 6, Swift wrote: "Thank you @jennyhan for debuting my version of This Love in the trailer for @thesummeriturnedpretty!! "I’ve always been so proud of this song and I’m very ??? about this turn of events - This Love (Taylor’s Version) comes out tonight at m i d n i g h t!" 'Back To December' - from Speak Now (Taylor's Version) Show - The Summer I Turned Pretty (season two) Swifties were overjoyed when the re-recorded version of 'Back to December' - a fan favourite from Speak Now (Taylor's Version) was used in the season two trailer of The Summer I Turned Pretty. "Go back to summer. watch the official trailer for season 2 of the summer i turned pretty, featuring “back to december (taylor’s version)” by @taylorswift," the show's official Instagram announced in June. This came ahead of Speak Now (Taylor's Version) being released on July 7 this year. 'Delicate' - from reputation (Taylor's Version) Show - The Summer I Turned Pretty (season two) There wasn't just one Swift track that was teased, there were two with the second being 'Delicate' from reputation (Taylor's Version) which was used in the pool scene with Belly (Lola Tung) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalengo). This was the first indication to Swifties that a song from reputation had been re-recorded - however this is yet to be released. @jennyhan Is it too soon to do this yet? (Taylor’s version) #thesummeriturnedpretty #behindthescenes #lolatung #gavincasalegno 'Look What You Made Me Do' from reputation (Taylor's Version) Show - Wilderness The re-recorded version of the singer's first single from her 2017 album reputation can be heard in the trailer for Prime Video U.K.’s Wilderness. Starring Jenna Coleman, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ashley Benson and Eric Balfour, the thriller series is set to be released on September 15 on the streaming service platform. Like 'Delicate', this version has not yet been released and there has been no date announced yet at the time of writing. @primevideouk Another day another drama, but all she thinks about is karma…. Your first look at #Wilderness, featuring “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” by @Taylor Swift coming to Prime Video on the 15th September ? With four songs teased via Prime Video, Swifties will be sure to listen out for any other possible re-recording clip in the future. Kevin Hart consoled by The Rock after injury confines him to a wheelchair
Kevin Hart has been consoled by his celebrity friend The Rock after an accident left him requiring the use of a wheelchair. The actor and comedian took to Instagram to explain to fans that attempting to “do some young stuff” caused him to temporarily need to use a wheelchair. Hart captioned a video on his Instagram: “44 and sitting my ass down!!!!! I got to be the dumbest man alive!!!!! What the fuck am I doing???? I blew my shit….I’m done. FML.” In the video, he explained exactly what went down and how he suffered the injuries. He said: “Ladies and gentlemen the age 40 is real, to all my men and women out there who are 40 years old and above it's not a game. “Respect that age, respect that age or that age will make you respect it. I was just forced to respect it." “This is just a public service announcement because I know people may see me out and I don't want you to be alarmed but I'm in a wheelchair.” He went, on saying he tried to do some “young man’s stuff” and attempted to race the former NFL player Stevan Ridley in a sprint as a bet. It did not end well for Hart as he explained, “I blew all my shit” including his lower abdomen and abductor muscles, leaving him unable to walk. Among the many well-wishes left in the Instagram comments, one came from Hart's friend, co-star and former wrestler The Rock, who shared his experience with a similar injury. The Rock wrote: “I tore my adductor off my pelvis during a wrestling match. True story. You’ll be fine. You’ll grow a 3rd ball but you’ll be fine. Heal up.” Actor Will Smith also commented: “Getting older is REAL!! Heal Up, Kev!!” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. Swifties react to snippet of 'Look What You Made Me Do' (Taylor's Version)
She may be releasing 1989 (Taylor's Version) in October, but Taylor Swift is keeping her fans on their toes after a snippet of 'Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor's Version)' was recently teased. The re-recorded version of the singer's first single from her 2017 album reputation can be heard in the trailer for Prime Video U.K.’s “Wilderness.” Starring Jenna Coleman, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Ashley Benson and Eric Balfour, the thriller series is set to be released on September 15 on the streaming service platform. Revenge is one of the key themes in Look What You Made Me Do, and it appears this is also a theme in "Wilderness" too, according to the plot synopsis. "Liv becomes the actress starring in Will’s bad dreams after she learns about his betrayal, and her heartbreak is swiftly followed by another emotion: fury." "The couple embark on an American road trip Liv’s fantasized about since she was little, from the Grand Canyon on through Yosemite, before ending up with a hedonistic weekend in Las Vegas. "For Will, it’s a chance to make amends; for Liv, it’s a very different prospect—a landscape where accidents happen all the time. The perfect place to get revenge. Look what he made her do…” Of course, Swifties were quick to react to the preview of the re-recording and pointed out that the original song was released six years ago today (August 24, 2017). Since this preview dropped, some fans have already noticed the differences between the original version and the new (Taylor's Version), and it's received mixed reactions. Elsewhere, others couldn't help but clock the timing of the release given the news that Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato have parted ways with music manager Scooter Braun, who Swift had a public feud with over him acquiring the recordings of her first six albums, which inspired her to re-record her back catalogue. Although a date for the release of reputation (Taylor's Version) has not been confirmed, it's not the first time she's shared a snippet from the re-recorded album. A snippet of the re-recorded track Delicate was used in season two of the the Prime Video show The Summer I Turned Pretty. 'And Just Like That...' serves up a half-baked finale with 'The Last Supper'
"And Just Like That..." managed to go from irritating to merely boring in its second season, which feels like modest progress. Yet the central relationship that finally took over -- as Carrie renewed her romance with Aidan, the one that she let get away -- came as too little, too late to completely salvage a series whose secondary plots have remained underwhelming, and at times half-baked.
