Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is making the transition to free-to-play, and it's coming to more platforms.

Fall Guys, the obstacle course battle royale, was a massive success when it launched on PlayStation and PC back in August 2020. Since then, a number of players on other systems have been eager to get in on the action. Unlike most battle royale games, Fall Guys required players to purchase the full game, unless they nabbed it for free during its initial PlayStation promotion.

Thankfully, there's been good news all round as developer Mediatonic announced during the game's dedicated livestream that Fall Guys would be going free-to-play, as well as coming to both Nintendo Switch and Xbox consoles.

When Does Fall Guys Go Free-to-Play?

Fall Guys will be going free-to-play next month, on June 21.

The game will also be made available for both Switch and Xbox on the same day. The game will support cross play and cross progression across all platforms.

Players who previously purchased the game on PlayStation and PC will be given a free Legacy Pack containing various cosmetics and a free season pass.

Fall Guys available content has grown significantly since its launch in 2020 — from costumes to themes to an array of levels. No doubt with the game's new free-to-play status there'll be plenty more on the way.
