Fox News' Greg Gutfeld confesses to snapping at producer, reveals network has problem of showing 'same stories'

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Greg Gutfeld revealed an anger episode he had at work while on Mike Rowe's popular podcast 'The Way I Heard It'.

The comedian discussed how he ended up snapping at a colleague because of an issue Fox News had with repetitive stories. Gutfeld also went on to make a pointed remark about not wanting to be targeted for his behavior like Jimmy Fallon recently was.

As Rowe went on to thank Gutfeld for joining his podcast after a long day at work, the Fox News host sparked a conversation about commuting to and fro in NYC.

"I trash people who want to work from home but I have noticed how excited I am about work after I shower and get ready. And then by the time I get to work, it's all gone!" Gutfeld said.

"It's something about the commute," the host wondered out loud, "We have to address this at some point. The commute changes your mentality."

He went on to confess that the commute seriously affected his outlook toward other people.

He exclaimed, "I love what I do but by the time I get to work from where I am, which took me an hour and 45 minutes today, to get into Manhattan, I hate everybody!"

Gutfeld then dived into an instance when he had gotten angry at a colleague.

The host recalled a scene when he had gone off at a producer for giving him repetitive content to discuss.

"I snapped on one of Jesse's [Watters] producers," Gutfeld said, "I mean, literally snapped because they had booked me to do a segment where all the stories that we were going to talk about were on my show."

He added how his network seemed to have a perpetual issue of repeated stories across different shows.

"Fox has this problem where, in the summertime, everyone does the same stories. So, if you turn on one show on Fox, you get the three stories that are going to be on my show," Gutfeld continued.

He then jokingly made a comment, hinting at the Jimmy Fallon controversy of being toxic at work.

"Anyway, long story short, I snapped and then I apologized because I don't want that reputation of getting really angry and getting people fired," he said while letting out a laugh, "I hate that reputation!"
