Are Crocs being banned from airports?
Crocs shoes have grown massively in popularity and many fans of the foam shoes might be distressed by a rumour that they are being banned in some public places. The clog-shaped foam shoes have become a mainstay in fashion culture thanks to celebrity endorsements and the notorious levels of comfort they provide. It is thanks to their comfort that many people choose to wear them on long flights and on shopping trips where they will be on their feet a lot. But, rumours have begun spreading online that the shoes are being banned in places like airports and malls. One post on X/Twitter, claimed: “Crocs are Being Banned from Airports, Train Stations and Shopping Centres.” Another said: “Many places like airports, train stations, and malls have now banned them on escalators with posted warnings.” “Crocs have been banned from escalators in some airports, train stations and shopping centres after a series of scary incidents,” alleged another post. Is the Crocs ban rumour true? Thankfully, the rumours that Crocs are being banned in airports and train stations are not true and you are free to keep wearing them wherever you choose. However, in the past, warnings about escalators and Crocs have been issued it was revealed in 2006 by ABC that children wearing them were having their feet sucked into the edge of escalators. The report detailed a scary incident in which a child damaged her toe. Other reports have revealed that children have lost their toes and even damaged the ligaments in their legs after their Crocs were pulled down the side of an escalator. Kendall Jenner quizzed about 'editing out' Bad Bunny from latest photo dump
Kendall Jenner quizzed about 'editing out' Bad Bunny from latest photo dump
Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny have sparked dating rumours after being photographed together at different events - but fans have noted the Puerto Rican rapper was absent from the model's recent Instagram post. The pair were recently spotted together on May 12 at the Western Conference Semifinal Playoff basketball game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors at Crypto.com Arena. In the snaps, Jenner and Bad Bunny could be seen chatting to each other, with one photo in particular becoming a mansplaining meme as the Grammy Award winner leaned over to tell the model and reality TV star something while she did her best to listen. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter But now in a recent post to Instagram, Jenner posted a photo dump which included aerial snaps of herself in an all-black outfit with sunglasses, a mirror selfie, her 818 jeans, a foal and 818 airplane ad banner, a snap with a friend, a video riding a horse and pic of the sea. There was also a photo of Jenner at the basketball game with her friend Renell Medrano, as they both posed giving the camera the middle finger - but no sign of Bad Bunny who was sat on the other side of her. Bad Bunny fans were quick to comment how the rapper - whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio - didn't feature in any pictures that were posted by Jenner, and urged her to "post him." One person asked: "Where are the pictures with Beniittooo." "Y el conejo?," another person asked, which according to Instagram in English translates to "And the rabbit?" Someone else added: "Is this like the clues to a scavenger hunt." "Where the f* is @badbunnypr???!" a fourth person commented. Elsewhere, Kendall Jenner's transparent dress defended from 'disrespectful perverts'. Have your say in our news democracy. Marjorie Taylor Greene lashes out at 'brainwashed' Burning Man attendees
Marjorie Taylor Greene lashes out at 'brainwashed' Burning Man attendees
As Burning Man attendees are left stranded in the Nevada desert due to heavy rain and mud, everyone has been weighing in on the situation. Including Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. Appearing on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ Info Wars show on Sunday night, she said “well, you know, God has a way of making sure everyone knows who God is.” The comment was made after Jones referenced the “mock sacrifice”, where festivalgoers set fire to a large wooden structure dubbed “The Man.” It seems Greene is suggesting the weather conditions are an act of God, as punishment for their “sacrifice”. Green continued: “There’s 73-75,000 in the Nevada desert right now at this Burning Man. They’re locked in. They’re not allowed to leave and they’re basically probably being brainwashed that climate change is the cause of it and it’s going to destroy the Earth. "And there, they’re feeling the panic. So, what’s going to happen, Alex?” The congresswoman continued with her rant, predicting that when attendees returned home they would spread stories about climate change. “It’s the Left’s new lie they’re going to put on the American people and try to get everyone behind [it],” she claimed. “This is what they’re brainwashing people to believe.” “I totally agree,” Jones interjected. Greene wasn’t the only one to suggest the weather was an act of God. Andrew Torba, founder of Gab, a fringe social media platform, wrote on Twitter/X: “Wow God unleashed a plague and a flood of rain over the satanic ritual “burning man” in the desert that all of the elites attend? You don’t say.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy.
