Apple has released an urgent update for its iPhone, Mac and other products. The company said that the security update fixes three security flaws. As such, users have been urged to install the update as soon as possible, which can be done through the Settings app. All of the three bugs have already been exploited in the wild, Apple said, though it gave no information about how widely they have been used, or against whom. The three bugs meant that attackers would be able to make their way through different parts of the operating system to potentially steal information and take control of devices. It is just the latest in a run of major security issues that have forced Apple to push out updates this year. Earlier this month, Apple was required to fix a powerful security hole that researchers said had already been exploited by attackers using the “Pegasus” spying software. New updates are available for the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. They can be installed through their respective settings apps by clicking the “General” option and then software update, and the devices may prompt their owners to install them. The update came just three days after the release of iOS 17, Apple’s major update for the iPhone. And was released hours before the new iPhone 15 went on sale. As well as the security problems, the updates bring fix other bugs, Apple said. All three of the new bugs were found by Bill Marczak of The Citizen Lab at The University of Toronto’s Munk School and Maddie Stone of Google’s Threat Analysis Group, Apple said. Climate activist Greta Thunberg has recreated a scene from the Barbie movie while protesting new plans from the UK government about the proposed Rosebank oil field. The four activists then recreate the scene from the Barbie movie where Margot Robbie's stereotypical Barbie has a big blowout party at her house but is overcome with existential thoughts of death leading her to ask her friends: "Do you guys ever think about dying?" In Thunberg's recreation, the text overlay has the 20-year-old Swede ask: "Do you guys ever think about the climate crisis?" As in the movie, the question leads to an awkward pause but the awkward pauses don't come from other Barbies and Kens but instead Rishi Sunak, Grant Shapps and Equinor a Norwegian energy company that runs the Rosebank oil field. The caption for the video reads: "For a safe climate and affordable energy, richer countries like the UK must stop expanding oil and gas production. But UK ministers @rishisunakmp, @grantshapps and oil giant @equinor wants to open the massive Rosebank oil field. This one project would produce more CO2 than the world’s 28 poorest countries do in a year. We can stop it." Rosebank lies west of the Shetland Islands in Scotland and was discovered in 2004. She went to view the three-bed pad with the letting agent. However, after arriving she discovered the house was not only filthy, but a current tenant was dozing on the couch. Katie filmed it on her phone and was shocked by the house in Newcastle, but also found it hilarious. The 24-year-old said: “The letting agent warned me before we went in that it was extremely dirty and said that they were really struggling with it. “I didn't expect it to be that bad. “You could tell she was embarrassed and she was talking about how ridiculous it was. “The guy on the sofa didn't even notice us, I think he was just fast asleep to be honest. “However, it was 12pm so it wasn't even that early in the day. “It just me who viewed it but the rest of the house was just as bad too. “There was a guy in one of the bedrooms that was arguing with the woman about the mess not being his as he's not there that often as well.” Katie has also revealed, unsurprisingly, that her and her friend did not go for this property. She added “It might have been okay once all cleaned up but two of the rooms were tiny so it didn’t suit us. “The letting agent just kept saying I can only ask you to try and look past the mess. “I'm not definitely sure as my friend booked the viewing but I think it was students living there then. “With the area location, maybe students from Northumbria or Newcastle University.” Katie posted a video online of the viewing which has now gone viral with over 580,000 views and 46,300 likes on TikTok.
