MADRID, SPAIN: Many reports have stated in recent months that Amber Heard has been living a life away from the limelight of Hollywood in Spain. The actress apparently moved there after a blockbuster legal battle against her former husband, Johnny Depp, did not end in her favor. It has now been said that Heard owns a nearly 1.9 million dollar villa in Madrid.
The ‘Aquaman’ star has purchased a property in El Viso's neighborhood, as per Marca. Her neighbors are reportedly the likes of Spanish football coach Xabi Alonso and actress Mar Flores. Besides, several politicians, public figures, and socialites, like Juan Benet, Antonio Gala, Juan Abelló, Carmen Sevilla, Narcís Serra, and Isabel Preysler live nearby.

‘Away from all the noise’
It has been said that Heard's new abode features five bedrooms and three bathrooms along with a garden. This comes after reports claimed that the mother-of-one has begun speaking Spanish. A source spilled, “I can reveal that Heard left Hollywood and quietly moved to Spain with her young daughter Oonagh. She is bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise.”
“I don't think she's in a hurry to go back to work or Hollywood, but she'll be back when the time is right, for the right project,” the insider added. Besides, another tipster shared with People in April, “She has been living in Spain, where she gets more privacy. The trial was beyond stressful for her, and she just wanted to start fresh out of the country.”
‘She felt she was mistreated’
The source added, “She is excited about working and filming again. She was exhausted and disappointed about the trial. She felt she was mistreated. This is all behind her now, though. She has new energy and is focused on things that she loves.”
Heard and Depp gave the world a reason to be hooked to their news after they faced each other in a Virginia court for over a month in 2022. They had accused each other of defamation along with mistreatment, abuse, and many other allegations. The ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ actor, however, gained more from the trial, leaving his ex-wife dejected.
‘People want to kill me’
Heard then took to Instagram and posted, “The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I'm heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband.”
She also noted, “It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke up could be publicly shamed and humiliated. It sets back the idea that violence against women should be taken seriously. I believe Johnny's attorneys succeeded in getting the jury to overlook the key issue of Freedom of Speech and ignore evidence that was so conclusive that we won in the UK.”
In an interview, Heard added, “I am harassed, humiliated, threatened every single day. Even just walking into this courtroom, sitting here in front of the world, having the worst parts of my life, things that I've lived through, used to humiliate me. People want to kill me, and they tell me so every day.”
