PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: On 'America's Got Talent,' Ahren Belisle, a comedian with cerebral palsy, presented a nonverbal comedy act that had the judges laughing. As the comedian got it through the tryouts, fans believe Ahren has a high chance to win the title this year.
The 28-year-old Canadian introduced himself to a national audience as a silent stand-up comic who delivers gags through his phone. He shared the stage with his gorgeous service dog, Al, because he has cerebral palsy. Ahren revealed "the elephant in the room" early in the Act that had Judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel doing double takes and laughing: he can't talk, instead utilizing a phone app to convert text to speech, and he has mobility difficulties.

Ahren, like many entertainers, can read an audience. "Most of you look super confused right now," he said. "I know what you’re all thinking, 'Who ordered Stephen Hawking off of wish.com?'"
He continued by saying that while the late English physicist who used a wheelchair "might be smarter than me, I would beat him in a race. Unless the race is downhill, then I’m screwed."
"We also have different conditions," he went on to say. "He had amyotrophic lateral sclerosis — and I am Canadian. Specifically, I'm half French on my left side. I also have a brain muscle disability called cerebral palsy, but being French is way worse than a brain disability."
Both the audience and the judges burst out laughing and looked stunned. The four AGT judges were blown away. Simon described him as daring and hilarious, and he said that it was a terrific, great, great audition. Sofia stated she hopes she is the one comic who ultimately wins 'AGT'. Heidi praised his performance and commented on how he found his path. Howie stated that he has a good sense of timing and humor and believes Ahren will become a full-time comic in the future.
