Call of Duty (COD): Warzone players are wondering if they’ll ever see the return of Rebirth Island.
Ever since its debut, Rebirth Island has gained a specific following of players looking for all the fun of a typical Warzone match without having to dedicate the length of time necessary to enjoy it. Rebirth Island has always been prized for its fast-paced gameplay, leading fans to miss it after its removal with the advent of Warzone’s Season 4.
So, is there any hope for its return?
Is Warzone Rebirth Island Coming Back?
Yes, Warzone’s Rebirth Island will be coming back to the game later this month.
Originally, Rebirth Island was only removed to make way for the season’s new feature, Fortune’s Keep. It will still remain in rotation, however, and players should still see it appear in-game as an option from time to time.
“Our goal was to create a new ‘Rebirth Island’ sized map that featured Resurgence gameplay and provided diverse new locations to battle it out in,” said Matt Krystek, Creative Director at High Moon Studios. “We wanted to create an island that had a timeless feel that was as fun to explore as it was to shoot in.”
The next date that Rebirth Island will return to rotation will be June 30, according to Activision. This is just over a week away which will hopefully be enough to keep eager Rebirth fans at bay.
