ISTANBUL, TURKEY: IShowSpeed has become a popular American YouTuber, streamer, and internet personality, known for his engaging variety of livestreams and his love for video games such as Roblox, Fortnite, and FIFA. He has a huge fan base all across the world.
In one of his recent YouTube videos, he was seen taking a detour to Istanbul in Turkey, which was also the first visit by the American YouTuber in the country. His vacation seemed to be successful as Turkish people took to the comment section of the video to apologize to other races they have been discriminatory and disrespectful towards.
IShowSpeed detours Istanbul
In the 12-minute video uploaded by Speed on his YouTube channel, it is seen that he is wearing a red Adidas sports jersey and white shorts while roaming in the streets of Istanbul. Soon, he comes across an old stray dog and he asks him “Are you hungry? Are you hungry? Why do you look sad?”
He then goes on to look for ‘meat’ at various shops across the locality as he finally finds a supermarket from where he buys a pack of sausages and feeds the dog. Soon a woman comes to him and says, “He is the oldest dog in Turkey. He is 20 years old and we feed him every day.” Speed interacts with her and another woman and soon gives her some money for doing the good deed. He then also follows her Instagram profile ‘Istanbul Margaret’ and calls her a ‘W’ woman.
After that, he comes across the famous Turkish ice cream stall where the seller shows him the tricks while serving. This kind of irritates him and he tries to intimidate the seller with his anger but fails to do so. The seller finally gives him the ice cream after a few more tricks. He then walks across the city and comes across an old local cobbler. He asks him to do something with his shoes. At first, the old man doesn’t understand what he is doing but later he takes out a brush and polishes his shoe. IShowSpeed takes out some money and gives it to him and also clicks a selfie with him.
He then continues to walk across the city and comes across an old one-legged beggar. He asks his security personnel for some money and gives it to the beggar. He meets a middle-aged woman sitting on a bench with her cat. He sits beside her and asks permission if he can touch her cat. He then jokes with her asking, “Do you have a husband? I have been looking for a wife.” Hearing this she leaves and then he says, “Where are you going? She left me.” Lastly, he visits a local barber shop where he asks them to give him the popular ‘Turkish haircut’ and the barber does so.

As soon as he uploaded the video on YouTube, fans from Turkey poured in their best wishes and also apologized for any inconvenience caused to him. A fan stated, “As Turkish Citizens, we apologize for the disrespect made by all these Iraqi and Syrian refugees” Whereas another fan stated “As a Turk, I am very sorry for the disrespectful behavior of Iraqis. Many of them are illegally in Turkey and they disturb our peace too.”
Moreover, fans were happy that he visited Turkey. A fan said, “Speed out here showing kindness and still being so funny in public. huge props to the lady who had been feeding that dog” and another one commented, “Speed is raised by good parents he’s afraid of disrespecting them he’s showing respect to people animals and fans may Allah bless you.”
