LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Like father, like son! Tristan Thompson's one-year-old son, Theo, seems to be emulating his star father on the basketball floor in a recent photo that the child's mother, Maralee Nichols, posted on Instagram, per The Sun. However, Thompson has not met the tyke yet.
Nichols, 33, posted a picture of Theo walking on a nearby basketball court. The child was dressed in some tiny Nikes, light blue shorts and a dark blue top. Theo looked like he was reaching into the air and pointing at the outer edge of the basket, like he was imitating his father.
Making a splash
Nichols, who often shares photos of the child, had also posted a video of Theo having fun in the water at the local park. She was seen sporting white sunglasses and a sleeveless black one-piece while her child wore a blue sailor cap over his head. He also had a kiddie float around him.

Theo was born after Nichols and thompson had an affair while the star was allegedly in a committed relationship with Khloe Kardashian. Legal records from August 2022 showed that the NBA player proposed to give Nichols $75,000 in hush money rather than regular child support payments. Nichols reportedly received a statement from the player saying that she would be "better off" with the $75,000 rather than the minimal child support.
Now, Thompson was required to around $9,500 a month in child support after the paternity issue was resolved. According to reports, Thompson told Nichols that he was not interested in spending time with Theo and did not want to get close to their son. "Tristan is very absent from Theo’s life. He hasn’t met Theo nor has he initiated any meetings," an insider reportedly said, adding, "He doesn’t have any immediate plans to meet his son face to face."
The basketball player also shares six-year-old Prince, with his ex-Jordan Craig, and five-year-old daughter True and nine-month-old Tatum with Khloe.
