Mary Earps replica shirts to finally be sold in ‘limited quantities’
A limited number of replica Mary Earps goalkeeping shirts are finally being made available to buy by England kit manufacturer Nike. Earps had said prior to the World Cup it was “hugely disappointing and very hurtful” that the replica kits were not available to purchase. Calls for Nike to put things right have grown louder over the last week – including from former sports minister Tracey Crouch – after Earps saved a penalty for England in Sunday’s World Cup final against Spain, with the Lionesses ultimately slipping to a 1-0 defeat. And the company has now acted, with a spokesperson saying on Thursday: “We’ve seen and share the unprecedented passion and interest in women’s football this year and remain committed to playing our part by offering the best products and services to athletes and fans. “We invested more in this year’s World Cup than any other global tournament to date. Nike has secured limited quantities of goalkeeper jerseys for England, (the United States), France and the Netherlands to be sold through the federation websites over the coming days, and we are also in conversations with our other federation partners. “We recognise that during the tournament we didn’t serve those fans who wished to show their passion and support to the squad’s goalkeepers. We are committed to retailing women’s goalkeeping jerseys for major tournaments in the future.” Read More Charity boss speaks out over ‘traumatic’ encounter with royal aide Ukraine war’s heaviest fight rages in east - follow live

'And Just Like That...' serves up a half-baked finale with 'The Last Supper'
"And Just Like That..." managed to go from irritating to merely boring in its second season, which feels like modest progress. Yet the central relationship that finally took over -- as Carrie renewed her romance with Aidan, the one that she let get away -- came as too little, too late to completely salvage a series whose secondary plots have remained underwhelming, and at times half-baked.

Is Danny Duncan alive? 'Accident' in YouTube star's latest video concerns fans
YouTuber Danny Duncan has given his fans a fright thanks to a cleverly edited video of a car accident that appeared to show him being wiped out by a flying vehicle. The 31-year-old shared a video on his popular channel, which has more than 7 million followers and mostly consists of comedy and prank clips. His latest video, which was posted on August 23rd, is called 'We Jumped My Car Through an RV!' and does exactly what it says on the tin. It involves Duncan and his friends building a ramp so they can drive a red Mustang at high speed through the side of a beat-up old RV. However, the 11-and-a-half-minute video ends on a worrying note. As Duncan begins to introduce the challenge from inside the RV, the car appears to smash right through the side of it demolishing the vehicle before the YouTuber could get out of the way. It's the final moment of the video and we aren't given reassurances as to whether Duncan is ok or not. However, it's highly unlikely that YouTube would allow a video on its platform where someone dies. Instead, Duncan's video is actually a smart bit of editing. Eagle-eyed viewers on X/Twitter notice that Duncan isn't in the frame when the car crashes through the RV. However, the speed of the car and the editing still managed to fool people who feared that Duncan had either been killed or was seriously hurt. "This Danny Duncan Vid fake right?" wrote one person. Another added: "Nah Danny Duncan’s editors deserve a raise for sure. I really thought bro died." A third said: "Danny Duncan uploaded footage of him getting hit in the head by a car. You think he’s ok?" Yet, as explained the YouTuber is completely fine and there is no reports of him being hurt or even having a scratch on him. Aymeric Laporte completes move from Manchester City to Saudi side Al-Nassr
Aymeric Laporte has completed his move from Manchester City to Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, the Premier League champions have announced. The Saudi Pro League outfit are understood to have paid a fee of £23.5million for the 29-year-old Spain defender, who has spent the past five-and-a-half years at the Etihad Stadium. Laporte follows former City team-mate Riyad Mahrez to the Middle East country after the Algerian joined Al-Ahli earlier in the summer transfer window. Laporte told City’s website, www.mancity.com: “I am proud to have represented Manchester City over the last six seasons. “When I first joined, I was excited about the prospect of winning trophies. However, I could not have imagined the success we would go on to achieve together. “I would like to thank the coaches, my team-mates and of course the brilliant City fans for all of their support throughout my time in Manchester. “I will always be a City fan and I look forward to seeing you all again.” Laporte, who joined City from Athletic Bilbao in a £57million deal in January 2018, won five Premier League titles, the Champions League and five domestic cups as a member of Pep Guardiola’s squad. However, he had fallen down the pecking order at City over the past year and the recent arrival of Josko Gvardiol had pushed him further to the fringes. City director of football Txiki Begiristain said: “Aymeric has been an excellent player for Manchester City during a great time for the club. “He fitted into the team seamlessly upon arrival in 2018 and played a key role in many of our successes over the years that have followed. “The form of the other defenders in the squad made it hard for him to find sufficient game time in 2022-23 and we respect his decision to seek a move elsewhere. “I look forward to following his career from afar.” Laporte joins an increasingly star-studded squad at Riyadh-based Al-Nassr, where his team-mates will include Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Marcelo Brozovic.
