'Good Omens' remains good fun thanks to Michael Sheen and David Tennant
Winging back to Amazon more than four years after its debut, "Good Omens" relies on the genial interactions of its cast in a whimsical trip filtered through the strange millennia-spanning relationship between an angel and demon. The plot, in fact, is practically irrelevant in this six-episode second season, other than providing the excuse for Michael Sheen and David Tennant's heavenly reunion.

Andrew Tate has launched his own comic which costs a staggering amount of money
Andrew Tate has announced a new business venture... in comic books – something that certainly wasn't on our 2023 bingo cards. The former kickboxer took to Twitter to share the news of his Top G comic, which reportedly follows the storyline of him and his brother Tristan taking on the Matrix. Classic. Attention soon turned to the cost of the so-called "collectable" item at a staggering $97 (£75). "They don’t want you to know the truth – they want you living in a mental cage, chained by a weak mindset," the official DNG Comics website reads. "I became the superhero of the youth by telling the truth and teaching young men to be strong. And now I am being punished for it, in real time. These stories reflect the harsh truths of the Matrix, how I escaped it, and what I predict they will try next." Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter The news soon racked up some opinions online... "The crazy thing is People will buy it," one person tweeted, while another added: "Well, he is great at comedy." Meanwhile, a third wrote: "Holy moly, In general I don’t care enough to comment what people spend their money on… but MAN." It comes after his two-and-a-half-hour-long sit down with Tucker Carlson was rumoured to be the "most watched interview of all time." The dedicated Tate fan account shared a screenshot of a Wikipedia page titled 'List of most watched television interviews'. However, Sportskeeda revealed the screenshot to be either edited or photoshopped as the current page lists a 1993 Oprah Winfrey interview with Michael Jackson as the most-watched television interview with an average viewership of 62.3 million. Not to mention, the interview was not aired on television, and instead, on Twitter for Carlson's independent talk show named Tucker on Twitter. Have your say in our news democracy. 'The Beanie Bubble' nostalgically looks back at the 'Babies' boom that went bust
Movies and TV have enjoyed a fertile run of rise-and-fall business stories, from Theranos to WeWork to Chippendales. Add to that list "The Beanie Bubble," a nostalgia-infused look back at the plush-toy craze that swept America, turned collectors into "investors" and abruptly went as flat as a doll with the stuffing knocked out of it.

Megan Fox shuts down "weirdos" after asking fans to donate to friend's GoFundMe
Megan Fox has responded to "weirdos" criticising her for sharing a GoFundMe page for her friend and asking her followers to help if they can. On Monday (July 24), the Jennifer's Body actor took to her Instagram Stories to share a screenshot and a link to the GoFundMe page set up by her friend Brittney Boyce. The fundraising goal is $30,000, to raise money for Boyce's father who was recently pancreatic cancer diagnosis and requires treatment. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Boyce described how the goal for the fundraiser is to help her father who is not “covered by insurance” with medical expenses so "he can focus on himself and not the stress on finances.” "My friend’s dad was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. If you guys are able to help, please do," Fox wrote in the post. Though the post didn't go down well with some people who berated Fox for asking her followers to donate when the 37-year-old's net worth is reportedly $8 million. One person said: "Pay the bill from your friend and don't ask your followers." "Girllll… u could pay that whole entire GoFundMe why are you asking for our money…," another person wrote. Someone else added: "Why don’t you donate your own money to your friend’s dad’s medical treatment instead of asking your fans? You’re literally a millionaire and could easily afford it." "Never understood why celebrities share someone's GoFundMe page when I'm sure they could fund it all themselves," a fourth person commented. Now, Fox has since responded to the flak she's received, taking to Instagram Stories once again to set the record straight, and branding those who bashed her as "weirdos," and "psychos." “Hey weirdos. Do any of you have the emotional intelligence to consider that maybe [Boyce] doesn’t want her celebrity clients donating large sums of money to her because it creates a dynamic in her working relationships that makes her uncomfortable?” She continued: “I just obliged her request. Anything she needs from me personally she will ask and [I] will do it privately. One thing you’re not going to accuse me of is being miserly or lacking generosity. "So try again on another day (probably [tomorrow]!) with some different bulls***, you bunch of psychos.” At the time of writing, Boyce's GoFundMe has so far raised $8,126. Elsewhere, Megan Fox says no 'demons' were involved in her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox 'lookalike' flooded with Transformers requests on OnlyFans and Megan Fox complains that her AI profile photos are 'naked'. The two best exercises for lowering blood pressure, according to study
Exercises such as “wall sits” could be the best form of activity to help people reduce blood pressure, a new study suggests. Other physical activity including cardio, resistance training and HIIT workouts are also good for bringing down resting blood pressure levels, researchers found. But isometric exercises – those that involve engaging muscles without movement, such as wall sits and planks – provide the best results, they said. The study, published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, saw researchers conduct analysis on previous studies looking at exercise and blood pressure. Some 270 studies were included in the final analysis which contained data on almost 16,000 people. They examined the impact different exercises had on systolic blood pressure, which notes the force at which the heart pumps blood around the body; and diastolic blood pressure, the resistance to the blood flow in the blood vessels between heartbeats when blood is pumped around the heart. The researchers, led by academics at Canterbury Christ Church University in Kent, found that there were significant reductions in resting blood pressure following cardio (aerobic exercise); dynamic resistance training, such as squats, press-ups and weights; high intensity interval training (HIIT); and combined training and HIIT. But the largest reductions were seen after isometric exercise training. A secondary analysis on specific types of exercises found the most benefit was seen among those who performed “isometric wall squats” and among runners. The academics said that current exercise recommendations for the prevention and treatment of high blood pressure are based on “older data” and suggest that it may be time to review the current guidelines. “Aerobic exercise training, dynamic resistance training, combined training, high-intensity interval training and isometric exercise training are all significantly effective in reducing resting systolic and diastolic blood pressure,” they wrote. “Overall, isometric exercise training is the most effective mode in reducing both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. “These findings provide a comprehensive data driven framework to support the development of new exercise guideline recommendations for the prevention and treatment of arterial hypertension.” For the average adult high blood pressure is considered to be from 140/90mmHg. When a person’s blood pressure is too high it puts extra strain on blood vessels, heart and other organs, such as the brain, kidneys and eyes. Persistent high blood pressure can lead to a number of serious health problems including heart attacks, strokes and vascular dementia. While there are medications which can help, people can make a number of life-style changes to help bring their blood pressure down including regular exercise, losing weight, cutting back on caffeine, alcohol and salt.
