Inside the conspiracy Eminem died in 2006 and was replaced by a clone
Inside the conspiracy Eminem died in 2006 and was replaced by a clone
There has been a range of conspiracy theories surrounding celebrities over the years, from Steve Jobs faking his death to Katy Perry actually being JonBenet Ramsey. There is now another outlandish theory that Eminem died in 2006 and was replaced by an android clone. The theory first started after some fans began to notice a change in his voice over the years, often naturally occurring amongst singers and rappers due to years of strain on the voice, as well as ageing. The theory escalated when Spanish website La Guía Del Varón decided to claim that the rapper had died in a car accident back in 2006. Some fans also pointed out slight changes in appearance such as jaw shape and overall facial structure, something that can occur as a person ages. Looking for more to back up their theories, fans then turned to Eminem's lyrics and music style, where they cite 'significant changes' since 2006 (when he supposedly died). Back in 2013 there was also footage of Eminem supposedly 'glitching' on a live ESPN report which convinced people even more that he was an android. @grace.mitscherlich Reply to @purpleheadedqueeflicker_ #clone #eminem #conspirancytheory Others, though, said "That's just Eminem being Eminem." But after rapper B.o.B posted a series of cryptic tweets in 2016 that claimed human cloning had existed for years, many saw it as even more proof that Eminem was now a clone. But whilst some believe it most are more sensible about what caused the changes with Eminem, such as age and stylistic evolution. "You're reaching way too far," wrote one user under a video about the conspiracy theory. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Have your say in our news democracy. Who said it - Richard Madeley or Alan Partridge?
Who said it - Richard Madeley or Alan Partridge?
Richard Madeley has been on our television screens in the UK since the early 80s and, at aged 66, he’s showing no signs of slowing down or having a lack of things to say that leave you gritting your teeth. The experienced broadcaster, who often pops up on Good Morning Britain as part of a rotation of presenters, has - how can we put it? - a certain way with words. Whether it’s him speaking his mind quite freely or having an apparent lack of foresight into whether his words might be offensive, Madeley has become an oddly fascinating figure in British television history. Whenever his name is trending on Twitter due to another gaffe or embarrassing quote, you’ll inevitably see him being compared to Alan Partridge - a character that often says things that are hilariously mundane, but also completely incomprehensible. Many viewers think it’s hard to tell the two men apart and, in many ways, Madeley is a better Partridge than Steve Coogan ever could be. Sign up to our new free Indy100 weekly newsletter That’s why we’ve put together a fun little quiz featuring a selection of 15 of the two men’s most bizarre, amusing and awkward quotes. All you have to do is guess whether Madeley or Partridge said them. Let’s see how you get on: 1. "Stop crying! This is supposed to make you happy! Anyway after the break, the biggest dog in the UK. And he really is big. Don’t miss it” A. Madeley B. Partridge 2. "What do you notice most that has changed during your 18 years in jail? Cars have five gears now, for example." A. Madeley B. Partridge 3. "Guide dogs for the blind? It's cruel really isn't it? Getting a dog to lead a man around all day. Not fair on either of them" A. Madeley B. Partridge 4. "Can we get some make-up please, get Keira looking like a crack whore. She'd make a good crack whore." A. Madeley B. Partridge 5. "Imagine two things you enjoy. Great individually but put them together and you get something quite special. Strawberries and cream. Egg and bacon. Yawning and scratching. Johnson and Johnson. Charles and Camilla. But what about drugs and sex? This is Chemex." A. Madeley B. Partridge 6. "I’ve gotta say, Pat, kids don’t make you happy. Some of the unhappiest times of my life have been with my kids. I remember... a holiday on the beach in Prestatyn. The kids came over to me and said, “Papa, Papa! Follow me,” and... you know... I followed them about 200 yards across the sand dunes. When I got there, finally, all they’d done was dug a big hole. Miserable." A. Madeley B. Partridge 7. "There’s not many better things than seeing an older woman skipping" A. Madeley B. Partridge 8. "An egg still in its shell, looks fine but… It‘s from the nineties" A. Madeley B. Partridge 9. "You look at the beach and you think, ‘ahh, pretty pretty, lovely golden sand, that’s safe.’ Not in certain parts of the country… quicksand!" A. Madeley B. Partridge 10. "I have to confess, as someone who is lucky enough to own more than one home, I know nothing about squatting." A. Madeley B. Partridge 11. "What is the point of salt grinders? 30 plus years of grand delusion. We must be mad!" A. Madeley B. Partridge 12. "I've never met a single woman happy with the way she looks, except Jordan - but I've never met her." A. Madeley B. Partridge 13. "I would've taken it off sooner, but I was having a fascinating conversation with the proud father of Norfolk's most sun-tanned child" A. Madeley B. Partridge 14. "Obviously, we had the Nuremberg trials after the war and we hanged quite a few Nazis and imprisoned a lot of others and we let them out eventually. But we didn’t go after the Hitler Youth as far as I’m aware. We didn’t go after the Hitler Youth – we only went after adults who served in the Hitler regime. And that’s something to reflect on, I think.” A. Madeley B. Partridge 15. "There are more proven facts in my book than in the Bible. People call the Bible the good book but my book is really good" A. Kourtney Kardashian reveals she and Travis Barker conceived son without IVF
Kourtney Kardashian reveals she and Travis Barker conceived son without IVF
Kourtney Kardashian Barker has revealed that she and Travis Barker conceived their son “naturally” after a challenging journey with in-vitro fertilisation (IVF). In an interview for the November issue of Vogue, the Poosh founder candidly revealed that she and her husband were able to get pregnant without the stress caused by IVF treatments. Kardashian Barker told the outlet that she “felt really pressured and pushed into doing IVF. It went against my intuition, and I didn’t feel fully prepared for the mental or physical toll it takes.” Kardashian Barker had been documenting her IVF journey on her family’s Hulu reality TV series, The Kardashians. She paused the process in 2022 in favour of focusing on her lavish Italian wedding to her now-husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. “We just got pregnant naturally,” she revealed to Vogue. “It was an indescribable feeling. Shock, then super-happy, fear sets in, worry, but I remembered then to have gratitude.” Elsewhere in the interview, the Lemme founder discussed her life-threatening health scare when she underwent foetal surgery in September, saying: “That experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of pregnancy that I didn’t know about in the past.” “It was terrifying. And I learned that insurance typically only covers two ultrasounds when you’re pregnant, I had no idea,” she added. “I’ve always been lucky enough to do more than what insurance covers, and it’s one of those ultrasounds that saved my baby’s life.” The pair are currently expecting their first baby together. Kardashian Barker announced in June that she was pregnant by holding up a sign at her husband’s Blink-182 show in Los Angeles that read: “Travis, I’m pregnant.” The couple later revealed that they were expecting a baby boy after posting a gender reveal video on Instagram. The reality TV star is also mother to daughter Penelope, 11, and sons Reign, eight, and Mason, 13, who she shares with ex Scott Disick. Barker shares daughter Alabama Luella, 17, and son Landon Asher, 19, plus step-daughter Atiana De La Hoya, 24, with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. Earlier this month, Kardashian Barker told Vanity Fair Italia that it was a “dream come true” to welcome a baby with her husband after such a long, painful journey with IVF. She got candid about the things she loved the most about raising a child, saying: “I love experiencing life through their eyes and doing with them all the things I did as a child. Going to Disneyland or even just touching sand for the first time.” She continued: “I love creating traditions and memories and making everyday things feel special and magical. Being able to do that now with Travis is a dream come true.” “I like being pregnant. I’m obsessed with the idea of being pregnant!” Kardashian Barker added. She maintained that she “physically” felt great, even though this pregnancy is much different than her first three. “But this time, unlike the other three, I was followed by a different group of doctors, who gave me many restrictions in the first months. No workouts, no Pilates, no caffeine and no plane trips. Even no sex!” Kardashian Barker said. “I think all this caution made me a little afraid because, in the past, I never had to be so careful.” Read More Kourtney Kardashian responds to criticism over pregnancy at 44 Khloe Kardashian confronts Kris Jenner about cheating on Robert Kardashian Sr Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker may have revealed son’s name at Disney-themed baby shower Kourtney Kardashian responds to criticism over pregnancy at 44 Menopause campaigner Mariella Frostrup: ‘I look forward to a future where women gradually stop feeling so ashamed’ More girls miss school and college due to their periods than colds, survey finds

New King Kong game is being torn apart by the internet
New King Kong game is being torn apart by the internet
The new King Kong video game, Skull Island: Rise of Kong, has released to an awful reception, with some naming it as the 'worst game of the year'. A new beat-em-up starring colossal kaiju favorite King Kong, flying in under-the-radar? You might be thinking 'sign me up' for a bit of that. If you're thinking that, you might want to hold back. Skull Island: Rise of Kong was only announced in July, and is available on PlayStation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, and come to think of it, there wasn't a great deal of promo heralding its release at all. That all makes sense now. The game is flat-out terrible, and the only noise being made about it is being generated by gamers who are ripping the new release apart with footage of the game and its cutscenes being shared far and wide. A quick snapshot of user reviews shows Skull Island: Rise of Kong being named as janky, terrible, static, awful, buggy and a 'complete scam' - the professional reviews (and we'll get to those) aren't much better at all. And users really think it could beat Lord of The Rings: Gollum to the title of 'worst of the year.' In particular, one cutscene involving a JPEG flashback/jumpscare is generating a lot of attention. All of it mocking the presentation of the game: It's not just gamers who are taking shots either, the gaming press is savaging the new release. Kotaku said the 'New King Kong Game Is Very, Very Bad' and called it a 'bland beat-’em-up with bad cutscenes, nasty visuals, and not much else' while Eurogamer called it a 'swing and a miss.' Fans of the great ape had been waiting a long, long time for a video game featuring Kong. The official video game of Peter Jackson's King Kong film titled - wait for it - Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie came out in 2005 over a mix of consoles. You could've played it on Playstation 2, it has been that long. It's sad to say, but you'd be better off finding a way to play the older game. It's far, far better - and we can vouch for that.
