The MrBeast and Rosanna Pansino controversy explained
Another day, another beef in the world of online content creation – and this time, it’s between MrBeast and Rosanna Pansino. While it’s normally the likes of Logan Paul or more recently SSSniperWolf and JacksFilms sparking drama, this time MrBeast and Rosanna Pansino are the ones causing all the fuss. So what’s it all about? MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, is the biggest name on YouTube with 204 million subscribers. Pansino is a big name too, with more than 14.5 million subscribers herself. However, she’s accusing him of lying about the outcome of a recent viral challenge. Pansino competed in one of the three hide-and-seek challenges hosted by MrBeast in Creator Games 3. Pansino is now accusing MrBeast of manipulating the edit to present a version of events which didn’t really happen and effectively reducing her role in the clip. Extreme $1,000,000 Hide And Seek www.youtube.com The YouTuber posted a message on Twitter/X with the caption: “I have been allowing others to treat me poorly in private for many years and I’m fed up. “I am going to start standing up for myself and finding my voice.” The content creator wrote: “When the video was released I was shocked, disappointed, and felt hurt. MrBeast (Jimmy) had edited the video to make me look like I performed worse than I did,” Pansino said. “This was extra upsetting because I genuinely believed him when he said that his videos are ‘authentic and real’.” Pansino also disputed the top three shown in the video, which were Zach King, Logan Paula and Larray. “The final [three] people were actually Zach, Quackity, and myself,” Pansino said. “This is what actually happened. Despite Jimmy editing out the only female in the top [three], I was proud of what I achieved.” MrBeast has yet to respond to the message on social media. Estate sale goes viral due to every item in the house being gigantic
A Los Angeles estate sale has attracted viral attention for the bizarre interior decoration that featured some gigantic-sized items. While America is known for its weirdness and wackiness, one TikTok has still managed to shock millions of viewers after revealing a very strange estate sale that took place in the city of LA in California. The post was shared by TikToker @DJtables, who regularly attends estate sales across the state and revealed that, even for him, it was one of the weirdest ones he has ever seen. In the video, which has been viewed over 1.1 million times, DJ took viewers on a virtual tour of the estate sale, showing the rooms containing huge items such as cosmetics, soap, shoes (bizarrely hung on the wall), tools and even a massive gas lighter. As he did the tour, he remarked: “Everything this person owned was gigantic, what the heck”. Text overlaying clip also read: “Strangest estate sale with very oversized stuff.” @djtables Strange estate sale #estatesale #losangeles #la #oversized #gigantic In the comments, one TikToker was a fan, writing: “Omg I’ll take everything.” “Devastating that the collection is being separated, this should be a museum,” said someone else. Another questioned: “I’m so curious to know what the 1st oversized item they bought was that started this obsession…like was it the big spoon & fork, is that the gateway.” One person added: “I love seeing people’s personal hobbies! We are all so unique lol.” “Are you sure this isn’t a giant’s house?” someone else jokingly asked. Restaurant divides opinion after charging customers extra if they’re ‘unable to parent’
Should parents pay more in restaurants if they don’t control their kids properly? That’s the controversial policy one establishment is implementing, and it’s proving divisive online. Toccoa River Restaurant in Blue Ridge, Georgia, USA has been widely discussed online after a message from the site was posted on Reddit. The message allegedly states that there would be a surcharge for “adults unable to parent”. While the charge isn’t exactly clear (it’s listed, simply, as being “$$”), the fact that they’re taking issue with noisy families isn’t sitting well with everyone. It’s not the only unusual payment that the restaurant installed, either. Reddit - Dive into anything from mildlyinteresting According to the post on Reddit, there’s also a $3 surcharge for sharing meals and a 20 percent gratuity for parties over six. Safe to say, the post divided opinion. One commented: “If I read this at a restaurant I would probably leave. Charge for unruly kids and a ‘share charge $3’ like who cares if I wanna share my food once I pay for it?” Another said: “The number of red flags on this menu, I'd just go ahead and say no thanks. I mean, the parenting thing is one bit, but if they can't get their shit together enough to deal with setting a price that deals with their credit card fees, and their solution is to show the cheap price and add a surcharge?” Another added: "This is an absolute trap, I'm leaving quickly regardless of wether my child is there or not." The 2000 pints in 200 days guy reveals how he managed to drink that much booze
Imagine drinking 10 pints in a day. Achievable, for sure, but probably not advisable. Now, imagine drinking 10 pints a day for a week, a month, or even six months. The sheer size of the task – and the unrelenting, crashing hangovers – would soon catch up with you soon enough, and the impossibility of the challenge would dawn on you eventually. But not for Jon May, a 25-year-old pint slinger of the highest order, was not daunted by such a proposition. Jon has become one of the most talked-about-people on the internet after managing to sink a mind-boggling 2,000 pints in the space of just 200 days. After spending almost £8,000 on drink and putting away 360,000 calories worth, he crossed the finish line of this completely self-imposed challenge by smashing a whopping 19 pints on the last day. @j0nmay #jonmay #fyp #drinking #pints #alcohol It’s news that’s impressed and (let’s be honest) repulsed people in equal measure – and one of the world’s great boozers has reflected on his experience and looked ahead to his latest challenge in a chat with indy100. “I wouldn't really call it an incredible achievement. I’m just a drunk on the internet,” he said, reflecting on his efforts. Discussing how the whole thing came about, the streamer and content creator was egged on by one of his viewers. Soon, he was pledging to do 2,000 pints in 200 days. “I was doing football content at the time. I made another video about football and all of the comments were asking for an update. In the end, I just completely changed the content to me drinking pints, essentially.” Miraculously, he achieved the feat – and it sounds like he did so pretty easily. Despite spending £8,000 on pints to manage it, he took it all in his stride. “I was drinking the same amount before. It was just normal life, and somehow I turned it into a job.” What sort of stress did it put on his body? “I put on about half a stone. I’ve got quite a fast metabolism,” he said. “Being 25, I am essentially in peak condition. You wouldn’t want to do it if you were any younger, I don’t think. But you wouldn’t want to do it in your 60s.” Half a stone really isn't much, we're sure you'll agree, and he did put some thought into his choice of drink as well as his routine throughout the week too. “Some days I’d start [drinking] at about 11. Other days I’d start at about 4. I do a lot of volunteering in a church, and I can’t be drinking while doing that. So once I’d finished that, then I’d go to Wetherspoons. @j0nmay #jonmay #fyp #cycling #challenge “Some days I’d have about seven. Then on Fridays or Saturdays if I was watching football I’d have about 15 to make up for the fact I’d had less during the week.” He added: “I did cider as well [as lager] because that contains slightly fewer calories. It was half cider and half lager, because it gets a bit sickly if you try and drink too much of one. It was a mixture of Cruzcampo, Madri and Thatchers. Thatchers Blood Orange was my favourite. I’d never had it before.” After finishing with the task, he’s decided to throw himself into another challenge – this time, focusing on something very different. “I’m going to cycle 2,000 miles, from Portsmouth to Land’s End, then Land’s End to John O’Groats, then back again to John O’Groats. So I’m going around the country twice,” he told us. The challenge was inspired after a social media exchange with the Hardest Geezer – who is currently running the entire length of Africa. “I literally thought of it two days ago,” Jon said. “The Hardest Geezer, when he quoted me and said something like ‘the next thing has to be something a little bit more worthwhile'. So I decided to do that. I’ll train for 200 days and then cycle 2,000 miles. I’ll do it for three charities.” As ever, it wouldn’t quite be his style if he didn’t stop for a pint or two along the way. “I’ll probably stop off at some pubs. If any of the pubs want to sponsor me, that would be great.” Sign up for our free Indy100 weekly newsletter How to join the indy100's free WhatsApp channel Have your say in our news democracy. Model thanks Andrew Tate after she slept with 300 people in one year
A woman has given Andrew Tate a special shoutout in a new video, after the controversial influencer raised her profile and led to a surge in new OnlyFans subscribers. It comes after a story was posted about the Australian model Annie Knight was posted on social media in which she claimed she slept with 300 people in a year. Tate responded to the story on Twitter/X with the comment “haram”, meaning forbidden in Islamic law. You might think Tate should have kept his nose of the whole business, but his attention has resulted in a windfall for Knight. Thanking him for inadvertently lining her pockets, Knight posted a video saying: “Andrew Tate reposted me on his Twitter and I've made $56,000 this week because of him.” The 26-year-old previously stated that she was making around $30,000 per month at the start of the year, but thanks to Tate that number is now expected to be higher. The story Tate was responding to saw Knight open up about her sex life, saying that she uses dating apps to meet new people. @annieknight78 Thanks Mr Tate ❤️ She spoke about sleeping with both men and women in an interview with Unilad, saying: "I think they both offer different things. "I think women know a way around a woman’s body a lot better for obvious reasons, but there’s something about sleeping with a man that’s intense and passionate.” She added: ”So basically, they both have their pros and cons, I don’t think I could pick one over the other." It’s the most recent headline made by Tate, after he and his brother Tristan called out Jordan Peterson for encouraging war as the conflict between Israel and Palestine continues. In a recent stream, the controversial brothers, who consider themselves anti-war, smoked and played chess as they branded Peterson a 'hypocrite'. "I find it extremely asinine and quite childish, hypocritical, and also disingenuous that people like Peterson would call for the genocide and call for war, when truthfully he would hate to be anywhere near a war", the former kickboxer blasted. Mother says she regrets having a baby as she misses Netflix
A new mother has spoken about her experiences bringing up a child, and admitted that she misses a lot of things about her life before. An unnamed woman took to Mumsnet to share her honest feelings about bringing up a baby, saying that she wishes she could relax and watch Netflix without having to worry about keeping an eye on the child. "My baby is 10 months old, she wrote (via the Daily Mail). “I love her more than anything in the world. "I constantly worry about something bad happening to her. She is a lovely, bright, happy, sweet, and quite an independent child.” She went on to say: ”But I just can’t shake the feeling that I regret having her. I just want to go back to my old life. "I had a quiet, peaceful, unexciting life, and that’s what I like.” The woman added: ”I’m a very introverted, self-contained person and I was always happy just being by myself, working from home, watching Netflix in the evenings, enjoying nature, having dinner out now and again. Maybe a holiday once in a while." The woman summed up her thoughts by saying: “I know having an older child will bring its own difficulties, but I’m wondering if I’ll enjoy it more once I can reason with her a bit and she can entertain herself more?" The post gained a lot of attention and sparked a host of comments from users. One wrote: "Once you don't have to watch every single thing they do, and they actually want to do quite fun things with you, it definitely gets better." Another said: "'It gets much easier when you can communicate with them two ways. It won't be like this forever, I promise." Shopper fumes after self checkout rudely asks for tip
A man was left raging after a self-service checkout machine asked him to leave a tip. While tipping is expected in some parts of the world, the customer was understandably left feeling baffled after being asked by a kiosk. The man simply purchased a chicken caesar wrap and a bottle of water at an airport shop, when the machine asked whether he'd like to leave a 15, 18 or 20 per cent tip. It didn't take long for Reddit users to jump in on the action, with one candidly asking: "Tip who exactly?" Another wrote: "This is especially annoying given how overpriced everything is at the airport. Then they have the nerve to ask for a tip". Meanwhile, a third joked: "Sure, it looks bad at first. But what you don't realize is, that self-serve kiosk is a single father with 4 kids, living paycheck to paycheck. He needs those tips more than we'll ever know." Reddit - Dive into anything from mildlyinfuriating As most are aware, the US is especially keen on tipping with a bare minimum of 15 to 20 per cent. Simon Calder, The Independent's travel correspondent outlined the basics to ensure tourists don't fall into the trap of breaking US travel etiquette. He explained that everything from taxis to dining and hotel staff are to be tipped. Taxis "expect an absolute minimum of 15 per cent," while if travellers are staying at an accommodation with bellhops, they are expected to "pay-per-bag". It is said that around a decade ago, 15 per cent was considered adequate for a meal at a restaurant. Now, the minimum has risen to 18 per cent. Drake fan invites rapper to 16th birthday bash using giant billboard
A diehard Drake fan has turned to creative measures in an attempt to grab the rapper's attention to invite him to her sweet 16th birthday bash. "Drake, you're invited to my Sweet 16. Your biggest fan, Miya," the 15-year-old wrote on the huge billboard invitation displayed above a Texas highway, along with the details of the party in December. "I love his music. … I love his style," Miya told Fox 26 Houston. "He’s really inspiring. I brought it up to my mom. I was like, ‘I want him to be a part of my big day and my sweet 16'.” It comes after the 37-year-old star revealed he bought a home in Houston during the second night of his It's All a Blur tour. "I had to make it official first," Drake, who has referenced Houston several times in his songs, told fans. "I been looking for a long time trying to figure out the right place to live where I belong outside of Toronto. Finally, after all these years, I found me a place in Houston, Texas. So, y'all gon' be seeing me around." It appears as though the 'Hotline Bling' rapper purchased an entire ranch in Texas, according to a video he shared last month. "Me and my partna’ we done gone country on y'all mane," he's heard saying in the clip using a fake country accent. "We said we was going to do it for a lot of years—we doing it today. The sale is made." He went on to hint that the property came with 10 horses. "People need a nice place for their horse to stay," he added.
