A London mayoral candidate has launched her campaign in earnest - and has become a complete meme by doing so. Susan Hall wants to be selected as the Tory candidate for the mayoral race, and is appealing to voters to choose her with some hastily made graphics. It adds: "The one Sadiq Khan fears," as well as "you are safer with Susan". But rather than run to cast their votes for "Susan", people found it hilarious: Hall has been a London Assembly member for five years. Her policies include reversing the ULEZ expansion, dealing with the housing crisis and cracking down on crime. Indeed, she said she will "hunt down and lock up" muggers and burglars by creating a special team within the Met tasked with tackling them. She is also known for trolling Gemma Collins, when she appeared on I'm A Celebrity in 2014. “OMG this fat woman Gemma is ghastly, really ghastly,” Hall tweeted, “however watching her squeal may be funny”. She also called Collins a “stupid fat blonde woman”. The Tory mayoral candidate for London is expected to be announced on 19 July, with the London mayoral election taking place on 2 May 2024. Being ridiculed while trying to reach high office - it is just part and parcel of British politics. Nevertheless, indy100 has contacted Hall to see how she feels about it. The Supreme Court says colleges and universities can no longer take race into consideration as a specific basis for granting admission, a landmark decision that overturns long-standing precedent that has benefited Black and Latino students in higher education.

The Supreme Court on Thursday said colleges and universities can no longer take race into consideration as an express factor in admissions.

The decision strikes down decades-old policies viewed as a measure to increase diversity.

Rishi Sunak was pictured standing next to the tallest MP in Parliament and the jokes were hilariously predictable. He wrote: “Yesterday I met the PM and raised again my concerns over the management of Shrewsbury & Telford NHS Trust. “Despite securing £312 million for modernisation of A&E Services 6 years ago construction has not started as a result of the appalling behaviour of Telford Council.” The picture shared alongside the caption showed Kawczynski completely dwarfing Sunak who stood to his left. Other people could not believe the image was real, with some having made the assumption it had been edited. “Saw this photo on Twitter and assumed it was photoshopped,” wrote one Instagram user. Brooklyn-based art collective MSCHF have officially sold their crumb-sized bag for a staggering $63,000 for Pharrell William's online auction house, Joopiter. Following the success of their Big Red Boots, the designers returned with a "bag" measuring just 657 by 222 by 700 micrometres. It's modelled on Louis Vuitton's OnTheGo handbag, where Pharrell currently acts as the brand's creative director. Despite this, MSCHF'S chief creative officer Kevin Wiesner candidly told the New York Times that he did not ask the French brand for permission to use their design. "We are big in the ‘ask forgiveness, not permission’ school," Wiesner told the publication. On Wednesday (28 June), the microscopic bag sold for $63,750. Other items included in the auction were said to include: A 'Portrait of an English Lady' by George Condo ($1,050,000), a Lewis Hamilton x Takashi Murakami F1 Grand Prix Helmet ($387,500), a Louis Vuitton x Virgil Abloh Dream House Window Mannequin ($65,000) and a Pharrell Williams x Richard Mille RM 65-01 ($481,250).
