Manchester United hit Mason Mount obstacle as Chelsea name price
Chelsea are insistent on receiving at least £55m for Mason Mount this summer, with Manchester United yet to match the club’s valuation for the England international despite leading the race for his signature. The 24-year-old is willing to go to United amid interest from Liverpool and Arsenal and agreement on a price is now the only obstacle to his move to Old Trafford. Mount only has a year left on his contract and has refused to sign a new deal amid uncertainty at Chelsea. The midfielder believes United’s system under Erik ten Hag offers the best fit, with the Dutchman understood to have the clearest idea for him. United do not want to go as high as £55m because their own summer budget is open to change with the takeover, but it is felt a deal will eventually be done despite the clubs currently being some way off agreement. United thrashed Chelsea on Thursday night to secure Champions League qualification which drastically improved what they can offer Mount next season. Ahead of the meeting at Old Trafford, United boss Ten Hag rather pointedly noted that spending big sums without having a cohesive plan in place to utilise those signings effectively was a total waste - as Chelsea have found out this season. “When there is no strategy behind, or (not) the right strategy, money doesn’t work,” he said. “In this moment there is a centralisation of good players, of the best managers, also of the money, it is all here in the UK. And that makes a great competition, but also a tough and a hard competition. “And you have to do the right things and you can have money but you have to do it and spend it in a smart way and also you need a strategy behind it, because, otherwise, the money doesn’t work.” Read More £600m spent but still outscored by Haaland – Chelsea’s masterpiece of stupidity Manchester United owe Champions League return to one man Man Utd to learn extent of Antony injury which will see him miss FA Cup final

Barbie fans think the new movie references another famous doll brand
Everyone is excited for the release of the highly anticipated Barbie movie, and fans believe the latest trailer actually references another popular doll. In the new trailer, we see Margot Robbie's Barbie and Ryan Gosling's Ken go on a big adventure from Barbie Land to the real world where they encounter normal humans. The words "If you hate Barbie" appear on screen, as Barbie can then be seen interacting with four teenage girls in the next clip, with one of them informing her: "We haven't played with Barbie since we were like five years old." Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter To which Barbie looks disappointed at this revelation as she awkwardly says "Oh..." Now, viewers are convinced the four girls represent another doll brand - but there's a debate as to exactly which one. Some believe the girls look just like, Sasha, Yasmin, Cloe and Jade - aka the Bratz dolls which are widely seen as Barbie's market rivals. The two doll brands (Mattel's Barbie and Bratz's MGA Entertainment) were previously in a legal battle with each other which resulted in Mattel being ordered to pay MGA Entertainment nearly $310m in damages, fees and other costs back in 2011, as per The Independent. While others believe it is an Easter Egg reference relating to a different doll from the Mattel family - the My Scene dolls which consisted of Chelsea, Maddison, Kennedy and Nolee (Barbie was previously part of this line until around 2006 before being replaced by Kennedy). My Scene dolls were introduced in 2002, in a bid to compete with Bratz dolls and were discontinued worldwide in 2011. Elsewhere, viewers of the trailer also believe there was a nod to Barbie's inventor Ruth Handler and 'Barbie Girl' is in the Barbie movie after all but its not the original song. Barbie directed by Greta Gerwig is set to be release in cinemas on Friday 21 July. Have your say in our news democracy. Kourtney Kardashian kept film crew waiting for 20 minutes while she had sex
Kourtney Kardashian and husband Travis Barker held up the filming of their Hulu reality show while they went off for a sex session. The mid-production 20-minute romp caused filming of the family’s show The Kardashians and left sister Khloe and the rest of the crew waiting. Kardashian and Blink 182’s drummer Barker got married last year, having three separate celebrations to mark their nuptials – in Las Vegas, Palm Springs and Portofino, Italy. The couple has opened up about how they decided to quit IVF and let nature do its own thing. In the first episode of the show’s newest series, Kourtney confided in sister Khloe that she was “ovulating” and needed to go and do the deed with her husband. Kourtney said: “If you give us five minutes to go do something really fast…” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter Her sister Khloe responded, asking if she was seriously ovulating. Kourtney replied, “Yes, I am” before going off with her husband Barker. Khloe proceeded to start a timer on her phone and joked, “Well, let’s see if it takes five minutes” and asked her sister to guess the time on the stopwatch when she returned from her escapade. When Kourtney complained of feeling tired later in the day, Khloe suggested: “Probably from having your 20-minute sex session downstairs.” The sisters spoke candidly about their sex lives, with Kournety replying: “Well, we had one this morning for like, an hour and a half, and I had one last night and the day before.” When Khloe asked how they had sex for an hour and a half, Kourtney simply stated: “You know, we’re just living our best lives.” In another part of the show, Kourtney, who has three children with former partner Scott Disick, revealed Barker “would love a baby more than anything but I just really believe in what God has in store for us”.
