Mary Earps replica shirts to finally be sold in ‘limited quantities’
Mary Earps replica shirts to finally be sold in ‘limited quantities’
A limited number of replica Mary Earps goalkeeping shirts are finally being made available to buy by England kit manufacturer Nike. Earps had said prior to the World Cup it was “hugely disappointing and very hurtful” that the replica kits were not available to purchase. Calls for Nike to put things right have grown louder over the last week – including from former sports minister Tracey Crouch – after Earps saved a penalty for England in Sunday’s World Cup final against Spain, with the Lionesses ultimately slipping to a 1-0 defeat. And the company has now acted, with a spokesperson saying on Thursday: “We’ve seen and share the unprecedented passion and interest in women’s football this year and remain committed to playing our part by offering the best products and services to athletes and fans. “We invested more in this year’s World Cup than any other global tournament to date. Nike has secured limited quantities of goalkeeper jerseys for England, (the United States), France and the Netherlands to be sold through the federation websites over the coming days, and we are also in conversations with our other federation partners. “We recognise that during the tournament we didn’t serve those fans who wished to show their passion and support to the squad’s goalkeepers. We are committed to retailing women’s goalkeeping jerseys for major tournaments in the future.” Read More Charity boss speaks out over ‘traumatic’ encounter with royal aide Ukraine war’s heaviest fight rages in east - follow live

Swipebuster: New website lets you check whether someone is using Tinder
Swipebuster: New website lets you check whether someone is using Tinder
A new website claims to let its users find out whether people they know are using Tinder. Using public data, Swipebuster says it can reveal whether someone is using the dating app, even revealing their location, profile pictures and bio. Swipebuster charges $4.99 (£3.50) for three searches, and requires users to enter the first name, gender and age of the person they want to check in on, as well as the rough location where they may have last used the app. Although it sounds dodgy, what Swipebuster is doing is completely above board - it uses Tinder's API to access the information, which is typically used by developers building other services to integrate with the app. Swipebuster doesn't make any explicit assumptions about why people would use the site, but the fact its homepage instructs users to "tell us who you want to bust" suggests it's been built with suspicious partners in mind. The site's anonymous creator tells a different story. Speaking to Vanity Fair, he said: "There is too much data about people that people themselves don't know is available." "Not only are people oversharing and putting out a lot of information about themselves, but companies are also not doing enough to let people know they're doing it." Although he claims the site is raising awareness about the importance of data security, a number of people have suggested Swipebuster could by abusive partners or obsessive exes to harass their victims. Tinder is surprisingly unfazed about the site. A spokeswoman told Vanity Fair that "searchable information on the website is public information that Tinder users have on their profiles." "If you want to see who's on Tinder we recommend saving your money and downloading the app for free." There's nothing that can be discovered through Swipebuster that isn't visible on the app, although there's a difference between instantly finding a profile through a search and coming across it after swiping through thousands of profiles. The information shown on Swipebuster isn't secret, although some users will be worried their Tinder use isn't as discreet as before. 'And Just Like That...' serves up a half-baked finale with 'The Last Supper'
'And Just Like That...' serves up a half-baked finale with 'The Last Supper'
"And Just Like That..." managed to go from irritating to merely boring in its second season, which feels like modest progress. Yet the central relationship that finally took over -- as Carrie renewed her romance with Aidan, the one that she let get away -- came as too little, too late to completely salvage a series whose secondary plots have remained underwhelming, and at times half-baked.

Aymeric Laporte completes move from Manchester City to Saudi side Al-Nassr
Aymeric Laporte has completed his move from Manchester City to Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, the Premier League champions have announced. The Saudi Pro League outfit are understood to have paid a fee of £23.5million for the 29-year-old Spain defender, who has spent the past five-and-a-half years at the Etihad Stadium. Laporte follows former City team-mate Riyad Mahrez to the Middle East country after the Algerian joined Al-Ahli earlier in the summer transfer window. Laporte told City’s website, www.mancity.com: “I am proud to have represented Manchester City over the last six seasons. “When I first joined, I was excited about the prospect of winning trophies. However, I could not have imagined the success we would go on to achieve together. “I would like to thank the coaches, my team-mates and of course the brilliant City fans for all of their support throughout my time in Manchester. “I will always be a City fan and I look forward to seeing you all again.” Laporte, who joined City from Athletic Bilbao in a £57million deal in January 2018, won five Premier League titles, the Champions League and five domestic cups as a member of Pep Guardiola’s squad. However, he had fallen down the pecking order at City over the past year and the recent arrival of Josko Gvardiol had pushed him further to the fringes. City director of football Txiki Begiristain said: “Aymeric has been an excellent player for Manchester City during a great time for the club. “He fitted into the team seamlessly upon arrival in 2018 and played a key role in many of our successes over the years that have followed. “The form of the other defenders in the squad made it hard for him to find sufficient game time in 2022-23 and we respect his decision to seek a move elsewhere. “I look forward to following his career from afar.” Laporte joins an increasingly star-studded squad at Riyadh-based Al-Nassr, where his team-mates will include Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Marcelo Brozovic.
