The debate began in a recent episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show where a viewer - Danny in Wisconsin - asked the host where McQueen's Piston Cup wins would rank him amongst the sporting GOATs. “When you think about the GOAT of sports… where do you rank a guy like Lightning McQueen with seven Piston Cups?” he asked. It's fair to say Smith had a strong opinion on this topic, where he brought in the achievements of another character from the film - Strip ‘The King’ Weathers. “I would tell you, he wouldn’t be the GOAT… When you talk about Strip ‘The King’ Weathers and Lightning McQueen, they’re both tied with seven Piston Cups. How can you be the GOAT if you’ve got something tied with you? Sorry, that ain’t going to work,” he argued. Smith then accused Danny of trying to “catch him” out with Strip’s equally impressive record of seven Piston cups, equal to McQueen's. “You didn’t think I knew about Cars, did you? You slept on a brother,” the host said. He continued: “Strip Weathers has seven Piston Cups. I am not about to sit and argue with a grown-ass man about the movie Cars… you should have brought me someone who didn’t have as many Piston Cups." To which Smith then asked why the Cars characters were the subject of the debate rather than Fast & Furious. Danny shot back, making the point that Cars is “real to little kids” – but Smith was prepared with a rebuttal. “You’re not a little kid! You’re 21. You would have a point if you were seven years old [and] calling me. What are you doing, wearing a diaper?” he screamed there off-road and then proceeded to hang up on Danny. The clip has since gone viral receiving a whopping 28.1m views, and 140,000 likes. Meanwhile, there has also recently been further debate where Cars fans are ranking the characters in terms of their achievements. Girls Aloud singer Cheryl’s six-year-old pointed out some “weird” details about the band’s old concerts as the group announced a reunion tour. The girl group first rose to fame after the five individual contestants were put together in a band that won the ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. Now, Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh have announced a 2024 UK and Ireland tour that will celebrate the life of bandmate Sarah Harding, who died from breast cancer in 2021. Speaking to BBC News about the announcement, the band members revealed that their former concerts have raised a few talking points among their young children. Cheryl revealed that her six-year-old son, Bear, who she shares with former One Direction star Liam Payne, said she looked “weird” in old concert DVD footage. “He says to me, ‘You look different, you sound different, this is weird. Why the nakedness? What's with your voice?’” Cheryl said. But, Cheryl wasn’t the only bandmate whose child had something to say about their mother and their early noughties fame. Speaking about her daughter Anaíya, Nadine Coyle explained: “She's never really liked any of the Girls Aloud stuff because I don't smile enough, so I don't look like myself to her.” Kimberley, who has three children, deduced: “They don’t think you should have existed before they were alive, that’s all it is. “Mine are starting to get interested. People are saying stuff about Girls Aloud and they want to know what the fuss is about. “But it’ll be weird for them. They’ll be coming to see us do something so different to normal. It has been revealed that Cliff Richard does have a photograph with Elvis Presley after all, following the singer’s bizarre fat-shaming comments about the legendary performer. Controversy arose earlier this week when Richard appeared on ITV’s This Morning and revealed he had declined the opportunity to meet and have a picture taken with the music icon Elvis because he had “put on a lot of weight”. It turned out that moment was the last opportunity Richard would get to have a photo with Elvis, as the singer died shortly afterwards in 1977. But, despite turning down the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet the King of Rock and Roll because of his weight gain, it appears it didn’t stop Richard from getting a painting of the two of them together commissioned. A picture with apparent proof was hilariously shared by comedian and broadcaster Jon Holmes on X/Twitter, who claimed in the caption: “See, #cliffrichard actually *does* have a painting of him with (thin) #Elvis in his house. “A painting that he commissioned despite them never having met. I know this because we recorded a programme there some years back.” In the painting, which looks to be hanging above a piano, the two singers can be seen on stage performing together, with Richard singing into his microphone while a trim-looking Elvis stands alongside him. Holmes added: “Note how Cliff is taking the vocals, while Elvis stands watching in awe.” The revelation caused quite a stir as people poked fun at Richard’s apparent fatphobia. Someone commented: “The plot thicccckens, obsessed with (thin) Elvis. What’s wrong with this guy?” Another mocked: “The plot thickens!
