It was one of the biggest stories in recent years, and there was even a TV drama and a play about it all - but now Coleen Rooney has broken her silence on the Wagatha Christie case for the first time. In a tell-all interview with Vogue Magazine, the 37-year-old WAG - who is married to former Manchester United and England player Wayne Rooney - revealed what went through her mind before sharing the infamous tweet in 2019 and the following court battle. The tweet detailed the detective work she had undertaken to figure out who was leaking stories about her to The Sun newspaper. She did this by posting three fake stories and narrowed it down which of her followers could view them to see whether they would still get leaked. To conclude, Rooney then alleged where the source came from, with the iconic line "It's ……….Rebekah Vardy’s account." Rooney's sleuthing led the internet to compare her to crime novelist Agatha Christie, which led to the term "Wagatha Christie" being coined. Rebekah Vardy - who is married to Leicester City footballer Jamie Vardy - then brought a libel case against Rooney but after a week-long trial at London's High Court in May last year, the verdict was announced in July that Vardy had lost the case. As a result, Vardy was ordered to pay up to £1.5m to Rooney in legal fees. Spears and Asghari are reportedly separating after 14 months of marriage and it has prompted the internet to remember Spencer’s comment written on Spears’ Instagram post when she first announced their engagement. In September 2021, Spears announced she was engaged to her model and personal trainer boyfriend Ashghari. The news came in the same year Spears was free from her controversial 13-year-long conservatorship. Sir Michael Parkinson, one of the country’s most celebrated broadcasters and talk show hosts, has died at the age of 88, his family told the BBC. A statement from his family said: “After a brief illness Sir Michael Parkinson passed away peacefully at home last night in the company of his family. “The family request that they are given privacy and time to grieve.” The television broadcaster has been remembered as the “king of the chat show” with a career spanning seven decades. He is perhaps best known for his eponymous talk show, Parkinson, during which he interviewed an estimated 2,000 famous guests, including the boxer Muhammad Ali, footballer George Best and comedian Sir Billy Connolly. Tributes from across the world of TV and beyond have poured in for the “titan of television”. BBC broadcaster Nick Robinson wrote on X: “He was the greatest interviewer of our age who owned Saturday night TV for year after year.” Comic Matt Lucas, said: “Sir Michael Parkinson was a titan of television, the ultimate chat show host. We’ll never forget his brilliant interviews with Muhammad Ali, Dame Edna, Billy Connolly and, of course, ‘that bloody emu’.” Dara Ó Briain praised the “consummate pro” that Parkinson was, writing: “I had the privilege of doing the Michael Parkinson show 3 times and it the most I ever felt like I was in ‘proper showbiz’. A new species of snake has been named after Harrison Ford - and the actor has shared his amusing response to this news. The name of the snake species found in Peru has been named Tachymenoides harrisonfordi to pay tribute to the 81-year-old Hollywood legend for his environmental and conservation work. In May last year, the discovery was made of the snake which is 16 inches long and has yellow-brown colours with black spots on top and black on its stomach underneath. Ford is well-known for his starring role as archaeological professor Indiana Jones, who famously said: “Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?” It's not the first time Ford has had a species named after him, there is the Calponia harrisonfordi spider and the Pheidole harrisonfordi ant. Since finding out he can now add a snake species to the list, the Star Wars actor provided a hilarious reaction but also described the honour as "humbling". "These scientists keep naming critters after me, but it's always the ones that terrify children," Ford told Conservation International, a non-profit where he is vice chair. "I don't understand. I spend my free time cross-stitching. "I sing lullabies to my basil plants, so they won't fear the night." “The snake’s got eyes you can drown in, and he spends most of the day sunning himself by a pool of dirty water – we probably would’ve been friends in the early 60s,” he said. “In all seriousness,” Ford continued. “This discovery is humbling. Adele appeared to break down in tears after helping a pregnant couple do their gender reveal at her Las Vegas concert. The singer revealed Chris and Shantelle Dare were having a baby boy, but appeared even more overcome with emotion than the couple. Australian actress Margot Robbie was offered an obscene amount of money to sell pictures of her feet on a fetish website. The 33-year-old Barbie actress was made an offer of £250,000 ($490,988 AUD) by a woman named Liz who is a popular creator on the website Fun With Feet which allows people to buy and sell images of feet for cash. In a letter addressed to Robbie, Liz claimed she looks like the actress and proposed the idea of collaborating on some Barbie-inspired content that would “earn us both millions”. She wrote: “Dear Margot, My name is Liz and I make thousands selling feet pics on Fun With Feet… I also look a lot like you. Barbie is all women, but we really are Barbie - Stereotypical Barbie, anyway. “I would love to collaborate with you on some Barbie-inspired content that’ll earn us both millions. Plus, Fun with Feet is offering to pay you £250K as a starting bonus. If I’m right, we’ll be able to capitalise on our likeness - and the world’s obsession with all things Barbie - to no end, all thanks to our feet!” Liz claimed that people already come to her because she looks like Robbie and that her “stereotypical Barbie feet” are already an “insane earner”.
