ZURICH, SWITZERLAND: Tina Turner died on Wednesday, May 24, in her home in Zurich. She and her husband, Erwin Bach, spent a whopping $76M about two years earlier on the property. Swiss media outlets reported at the time that Turner bought the property that tennis legend Roger Federer first set his sights on. However, he settled on another residence in the same neighborhood of Staefa Village, outside Zurich, according to the Daily Mail. The 'Private Dancer' singer bought the property just before deciding to hand over the rights to her entire discography, worth $50M, to publishing giant BMG. Turner's name and image rights were also acquired by BMG as part of the agreement, along with her hits, including 'The Best' and 'Nutbush City Limits'.
