Who is Albert Breer? NFL reporter shredded for asking if Taylor Swift sat next to 'Dennis Rodman' at Chiefs game

KANSAS, MISSOURI: NFL journalist Albert Breer has ignited a wave of criticism on the internet by suggesting that Taylor Swift was seated beside Dennis Rodman at the Bears vs Chiefs game, even though the person in question bore no resemblance to Rodman.

Albert Breer is an American sports journalist with a background in covering the NFL.

He began his career covering the New England Patriots for The MetroWest Daily News and later contributed stories to outlets such as the Boston Herald.

He expanded his coverage of the NFL through roles at The Boston Globe, The Dallas Morning News, Sporting News, and NFL Network. In June 2018, he took over writing the MMBQ column from Peter King at Sports Illustrated.

Taylor Swift cheers on NFL star Travis Kelce

On Sunday, September 24, Taylor Swift cheered on her alleged new boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at Arrowhead Stadium as he played a key role in the Kansas City Chiefs' dominant 41-10 win against the Chicago Bears.

While it hasn't been officially confirmed if Swift and Kelce are dating, Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, has claimed that the reports and rumors about Travis dating Taylor Swift are "100% true."

Swift was visibly excited, wearing a red-and-white jersey, and passionately cheered for Kelce, especially when he scored a touchdown early in the second half.

Albert Breer receives flak over Dennis Rodman remark

Although Swift's enthusiastic cheering in the stands garnered most of the attention that night, Breer was more intrigued by an unidentified man seated to her left.

On September 24, Sunday, Breer took to X (formerly known as Twitter) during the game and wrote, "Is that Dennis Rodman sitting next to Taylor Swift?"

Dennis Rodman is a former pro basketball player known for being a top rebounder in the NBA. He played for teams like the Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Lakers, winning several NBA championships.

Since the spectator clearly wasn't the former NBA star, Rodman, fans promptly turned to social media to criticize Breer for the error.

"Is this racist," one X user asked, with another replying, "It’s gotta be."

One other stated, "Y'all think any black dude with shades on dennis rodman?"

"Nah this has to be one of the most out-of-pocket tweets i’ve seen today," wrote a fourth.

An offended user asked, "Are you saying we all look the same?" Another asked in disbelief, "Are you serious? do you know who Dennis Rodman actually is? or seen a picture of him since 1995?"

Someone else wrote, "Well Albert, smh I'm getting a certain vibe here... 'all Blacks look alike' Omg in 2023 troglodytes do exist I'm just gonna tell my lil white nephews that you are one of The Three Stooges from wayyyy backkkk."

The identity of the spectator remains unknown, but it's evident that Breer's unusual assumption was far from accurate.

Regarding Swift and Kelce, they were spotted exiting Arrowhead together following the Chiefs' win on Sunday night.
