LONDON, ENGLAND: Leonardo DiCaprio has often been seen at the hip Chiltern Firehouse restaurant in London with supermodel Neelam Gill, who was born in Coventry. But it is not a gorgeous woman luring the 48-year-old Oscar winner to Britain's capital this time — he is interested in doing business instead with a young British brand.
According to the Daily Mail, 'Killers of the Flower Moon' star, who is reportedly worth $310 Million, has invested a significant portion of his wealth in the British company LØCI, which makes vegan footwear out of recycled bamboo, foam, and rubber. In addition, for every pair of shoes produced, the company recycles 20 plastic bottles.

LCI was formed in 2021 by a quartet of Londoners, including Emmanuel Eribo, and its footwear has been seen on the feet of celebrities such as actress Lily James and Princess Eugenie. "Leonardo DiCaprio is one of our investors," Eribo, 40, said to the Daily Mail, complimenting the Hollywood actor's £4 million ($5.1 million) investment in the young business. "He’s an absolute star and sees the world the same way we see it. It’s been an absolute blessing having him on the team. You can’t ignore it’s a British brand and he’s betting on it."
'I have not seen him wear another pair of shoes'
Eribo further said that DiCaprio "didn’t need to do this — there’s definitely something in there that is tugging on him." He added, "I have not seen him wear another pair of shoes [except ours] the last 50 occasions he’s been snapped — apart from when he’s wearing formal attire. That’s not part of any agreement, that’s a genuine love for the brand and him supporting it." Eribo continued, "If I could say things about Leo, I’d probably use two words: genuine and kind. You can care about the world and still want good things."
