Who was Jordan Cam Walker? Family remembers 6-year-old who died with great-grandmother in San Jose stabbing

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA: Family members identified the 6-year-old child who died along with his great-grandmother last week in a double stabbing at their Vista Apartment as Jordan Cam Walker. The murderer is still at large.

Jordan's identification was confirmed to news organizations by a source involved with the inquiry; however, the names of the stabbing victims have not yet been formally revealed by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office.

Who was Jordan Cam Walker?

A GoFundMe campaign confirmed Jordan Cam Walker as the deceased child on Wednesday, August 9. Investigators believe that Jordan and his great-grandmother were both fatally stabbed inside the apartment in the Buena Vista district.

According to the GoFundMe page, Jordan was a "beloved 6-year-old child who loved the outdoors, swimming, playing baseball, and basketball. During his short time with us, Jordan brought joy, laughter, and love to many people."

'Very shocking and tragic incident'

According to the San Jose Police Department, a welfare check at an address close to downtown San Jose last Friday morning led the officers to the grisly sight on the 1600 block of Parkmoor Avenue. The officers claimed that even for senior officers, the scene of the two homicides was traumatic, as per People.

The news release from the police reads, "Upon arrival, Officers located an adult female and a juvenile male suffering from at least one stab wound each. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene by responding medics."

San Jose Police Sgt Steve Aponte told local station KRON that finding Jordan and his great-grandmother's bodies was distressing for the police.

Aponte said, "This was a very shocking and tragic incident that we are investigating. We are seeking justice."

In a news release, he requested "anyone with information" to contact the San Jose Police Department so that police could locate the murderer.

GoFundMe in memory of Jordan Cam Walker

Jordan was mentioned on a GoFundMe campaign started by his family on Tuesday, August 8, to help pay for funeral costs, as stated by Morian Walker, who is credited with organizing the fundraising. The GoFundMe campaign does not mention the deceased woman.

The fundraising page has raised $6,961 of its $15,000 goal.

"Jordan touched the lives of many in his community in San Jose, California. Jordan was taken from us way too soon, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled," the GoFundMe page reads.

The statement continues, "As we all know, funeral arrangements can be emotionally and financially burdensome. That's why we've created this GoFundMe page – to offer friends, family, and well-wishers a way to contribute whatever they can, knowing that every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference."
