BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: The younger Tate brother aka Tristan Tate is a former kickboxer turned social media influencer just like his brother Andrew Tate. The controversial duo is infamous for their many misogynist views and is seemingly insensitive to the way they voice them.
In one of his tweets, Tristan has weighed in on his opinion of people who love music, labeling them as 'dumb'. However, the remark has received mixed reactions from netizens.
'I really hate music'
Tristan took to Twitter on July 16, 2023, with a tweet that garnered 9.6 million views, stating, "Unpopular opinion, but I really hate music. I’ve also found that the dumber somebody is, the more meaningful and important they find music to be."
In December 2022, the Tate brothers were taken into custody at their Bucharest home over allegations of rape, human trafficking, and organized criminal activity; however, in April 2023, they were released from jail and put under house arrest. Tristan Tate has recently tweeted clarifying that their detention was unrelated to their webcam business.
He wrote, "The world knows I used to run a webcam website, I spoke about it in depth. Very popular business here in Romania with hundreds of studios in the capital alone. I’ll repeat this again. There is ZERO connection between these legal business activities and my current case. The current case alleges I formed a gang in 2021 to steal money from my friend's TikTok creator funds."
'It’s ok you’re weird'
Tate's remark on music lovers, unsurprisingly got various comments. A user wrote, "Honestly you are literally like me. I can’t stand music, I can’t stand parties, I can’t stand festivals, I can’t stand Netflix. I can’t stand football. I can’t stand time wasting Maybe I’m boring but I feel like I haven’t achieved anything after I’m done." A second user wrote, "Music also f*cks up your brain. If you listen to sad music, you'll be sad all day. Reset your brain. Reject cheap dopamine." A third user wrote, "How did you deal with childhood trauma without music." Mark Zuckerberg wrote, "Music is distraction." A fifth user wrote, ''It’s ok you’re weird, I mean there is enough music and variety for everyone even if you listen to old classics. It can affect mood hence music therapy. I mean how can u enjoy chores, parties and driving without music? Podcast?"
